Life after RDLS
Those snippets yesterday gave me some refreshing hope for this band and got me thinking. Let's say RDLS is a commercial and critcal success for the band. Considering the new deal with Mercury and Jay's fresh start, when do you think we get the follow up to RDLS? I really don't think I can wait another 4 or 5 years for new Jamiroquai. Sooo do you think it'll be a quick turn around like back in the 90's or an every four years kinda thing? |

I was thinking about this earlier. Lord knows they have enough material already to be able to put out another album!! I mean, the first two albums were like a year apart I think. Then two years apart...then three years...then two again, four, and now 5 years before RDLS. So who knows how long it will be But I hope that if this is a big hit, the group can keep sailing while they are rejuvenated and hopefully put out the next album within a couple years! _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. I'd think three years at the minimum, with four being a safe bet. The tours for this album will go on until at least late 2011, and the band will need a period to rest, likely a year or so. Then another year or two to put together the album, and another six months on top of that to get the paperwork/distribution down. But I think we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves with this thread |

Wow. It would be smart to have another release in 2012. If they want to stay in the minds of the public, they need to have stuff on the radio more regularly. Great to hear Mercury isn't letting a lot of these tracks go to waste. |

Oh come on .. be patient jamily .. the new album hasn't come out yet, are they supposed to release it last year if i'm not mistake and because of this and that finally the baby is born Nov this year! they had a long 5 years gap maybe because the transition from the old label to new label, so the released of the next album i think depends on their contract with Mercury normally maybe 2 or 3 years gap with the tours, promos and everything .. i have to admit that i like to see them around every year |

Yeah seriously. I mean, with Sony Jamiroquai constantly had 10-track albums and stuff Already with Mercury, the band is able to have all these extra songs added on! The Japanese deluxe version has 20 tracks and 2 videos If the band were still with Sony, this album would probably have 9 songs on it with no extra versions whatsoever _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. ....since there's 40 tracks recorded, 15 of which used for RDLS, leaving 25 new songs, how about a double album releases in 2012? That would RULE !!!!
Sincerely,
