Wohoooo!!! My deluxe edition has arrived today!!!
I am going to write a longer review about every song soon, but for now I wanna say just this:
This album is beautiful!! I am so proud of my favourite band!
Every single musician is doing a fantastic job in all the songs. I can absolutely FEEL that they have played out their hearts on this album, like Rob said earlier! They really did!
Everyone is brilliant, but for me, the star on this album is Mr. Paul Turner!
This is the first full album he has been doing together with the boys, and I was really curious about his contribution, and I am really impressed. Every bassline, every tune he is adding to the songs are just perfect for me! Love it, love it, love it!
A really ballanced album, I feel the creativity, the diversity, lots of emotions, I can taste a bit of the freedom they had during the writing process... it is just flowing!
Jay said in an earlier interview: Don't panic, you'll like it! He is so damn right! All will make sense in November.. oh yes, it really makes sense now!
I am so thankful for this masterpiece, for the music, the groove, the bumping beats, the rhythm, the grooving bass, the warm keys, the funky and also the rough guitar riffs, the brass, the flute, the lyrics, even the naughty ones, am thankful for the diversity, the goosebumps I have while listening... I am thankful for the tention, the excitement, the mixed emotions during the last weeks and months, the surprises, the good vibes... ahhh... thank you so much Jamiroquai! I am a happy mouse!

I totally agree with you cosmicmouse!!
This is "real" music.... manual faaaantastic
done with soul and love !!!
I just love it!
What I really like about it, is that you reeeaalllyyy can hear Rob, Paul, Derrick.. and even Sola.....
on the Dynamite album.... I just could hear Matt ....which wasn´t bad...but I prefer RDLS sound...
and Jay sings soulful....*sigh*...and in different styles....great...
the backgroundsingers...
so I looooove RDLS !!!

i give it 7/10
why???
because-as far i have listen-i like it, but is still growing on me
the fact even dynamite have 3 tracks based on current politics and this only one(the title track)makes, by now,a 9 instead of 10.
also, i haven't listed the bonus tracks, so is a 8 or even 7 based in just what i know.
i mean, is the TWM 2
it could be better?yes, it can
but ill see how good is in the years to come
by now, i like
but i would like more when i can listen more, and more tracks _________________ Only a fool can walk away from me this time

yeah..also agreed with everything that meike already put in such wonderful words ( how do you do it!!! )
I have been listening this album in every free minute ...
The Highlights for me are White Knuckle Ride, Smoke and Mirrors, She´s A Fast Persuader, Hey Floyd and All Good In The Hood
I really enjoy the album as a whole!
and yes 5 stars for Paul Turner .
I hope he reads this
Jay is still bringing across every song perfectly..love his singing ..maybe the voice is not " perfect" but it never was..that´s what makes it so interesting..the attitude and character in it..
loved all the brass and strings..so beautiful...and the moment of the album for me ( for now) is in" Hey floyd"..1:27 when it surprisingly turns into reggea!
Jamiroquai can be really proud of their work and I know they will bring lots of hours of joy to many people around the globe.
Thanks to the jamily to making the waiting process a special one. the excitement was definately on an emotional high. I think it wouldn´t feel that intense if we couldn´t share this all with each other.
Thanks Jay for the following words in the booklet
And now...in 2010 an extra special no thanks to
Religion in its most destructive , indoctrinating and fundamental form. Global weapons manufacturers-madness equals sadness.
Zoo´s, they worked 100 years ago. Enough, it´s heartbreaking. Circuses who use animals, and all people who abuse animals. Shame on you. Corrupt governments who continue to destroy natural habitats in their countries for the lining of their fat, dirty , greasy pockets. Wake up. _________________ "Here it is...there is no way to make it better " |

Wondering if anybody from the U.S. has a copy yet?
I love the comments in the liner notes. Just hope his reference to religion isn't misconstrued by the 'fundamental' groups.

I'd like to congratulate Jay, Derrick, Sola, Rob, Matt, Paul and other musicians, vocalists, producers, engineers and other people involved, on making a great album! Thanks for your work guys, you rock!
Jamiroquai definitely did the right thing returning to more organic sound with live instruments, especially the long-missed brass section. And Paul Turner really shines on this album. Some of the basslines are simply insane (esp. She's a Fast Persuader). Jay's voice also seems to be in a better shape than during the Dynamite era. Real highlights for me are Rock Dust Light Star, Smoke and Mirrors, Lifeline, Fast Persuader, Two Completely Different Things, Hey Floyd and Hang It Over. Very pleased overall. Now can't wait to see the band live. |

my hubby have a gift for me this morning
much more than I expected...delete the "bad 4" + lifeline + never gonna be another and you have a wonderfull album, 70´ touched and every musican is on the right place.
perhaps is a TWM 2... even better than a DYN 2.
SAFP is my N° 1......that´s Jamiroquai i love.
The:7saxophone: in SAM....
TCDT,AGIH.....typical Jamiroquai( O-ton my hubby and i agree)
GBTMD....reggae isn´t my thing, but it works for me.
And HF could be a good successor from DU, i´m totally convinced that this song works live.....the crowd will jump and scream as one "HEY! FLOYD!"
i was so sceptical in the beginning, today i apologize.
Thank you,Jamiroquai;you did it again.
