this is a poll for RDLS , I don´t think we have to consider any previous work! _________________ "Here it is...there is no way to make it better " |

I think that we should be more critical of the "not so hot" songs on the album. The lowest average song is around a 6, and if we will be doing this type of rating system for previous Jami. albums, we know that the scale will be thrown off. Save the "lowest rating 6" for some of their older "classic" (Better, haha) material, or else every album will be around a 7-10 rating. |
I give a 3.0 to Blue Skies and 4.0 to Hurtin |

Ah perfect this rate system. So I can rate now the songs I heard so far and rate the others later (probably tomorrow).
No song got less than 8 points from me so far. I love the new album!!!
Thanks Meike for this great poll! _________________

I got it!!!!!!
It's a brilliant, a gorgeous album, I love it!
I've been waiting for those feelings since Synkronized (wich I love!)
Thank you Meike for this perfect rate system! I'll continue to listen to the album and I'll rate the song
Ps: There's no bad song except the remix! The Deluxe Version is amazing! _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from" |

Brilliantly implemented idea! Thanks Meike!
I concur with the call for objectivity, our ratings might be a bit too enthusiastic on some songs... although of course, some ARE brilliant. ^_^
Still, no 10s were awarded because I decided to be British while polling, and because no track is Soul Education reincarnated, hehe! _________________ *I'm steppin' out, so cut me loose...* |

Great teamwork
I listened to the album the whole weekend and it gets better and better - really love it (except Angeline, which I think is not so good)
I don't have "Not the funk I want" on my Deluxe edition I wonder why I have a live version of RDLS instead.... I bought it on Amazon Germany |

It's because it is the extra track on the Japanese version _________________ *Meow* |

Me too. I think is a great album. You can see or feel the hard work the guys put on it and that is something worthy.
I can twist an re twist the album times and times and i dont get bored. _________________ Jamiro - ROCKS!! - |

Really? Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but this is what I was saying earlier. As a long time fan Julia, I certainly am not trying to tell you off, but seriously, a 10? It is perfectly fine to be enthusiastic about the album, and it does have it;s high points, but if we really delve into this album further, can this really be considered as good as ROTSC and TWM? Can we really rate songs on this album higher than cuts like High Times, Stillness In Time, Too Young to Die etc. These songs are not even in the same league as their previous material. While I am speaking purely with my opinion, I am sure some if not most of the members on the forum feel the same way. I would like to see Meike do a poll for all of Jami's albums, and really get a TRUE rating. It seems like a lot of the praise on this new album is unwarranted, especially when we consider the old material which will ultimately be critiqued as well. If we give ROTSC a perfect 10, it would be hard to consider anything off of this new album above a 9. |
