Gripes about lack of USA touring!
Hi Folks

Not how I usually intro myself around the net, but I just found you all! Yahoo!

How many of you state-side are as bummed as I am about the lack of support for Jam in the US? Airplay restricted to secondary MTV channels, little radio play, etc. ARGH!

I missed one of the last shows for Jam touring in the states back around 1999. I regret! I regret fully!

I've been a big fan since ROTSC appeared. I just wish I could see them liiiive!

Other than that, I'm 24, I'm from Massachusetts, east coast of the US, I'm happy to find a crew online.

Did anyone here ever chat on the undernet IRC server's #Jamiroquai room? It has little traffic these days, but back around 1998-2000 I lived there, what great memories!

Glad to be with you all!

Cheers

Didjer

Jamiroquai toured the U.S. on the Traveling W/o Moving tour (I saw it down here in S.FL) and I think they also toured U.S. during Synkronized.

Welcome Didjer!! I hear you!! I'm from Pennsylvania and I hate how Jamiroquai is basically underground here in the states regret Let's just hope they do a very big tour ALL over since we're all owed at least that after waiting 3 years!

Thanks for the warm welcomes. Very funny thing just happened...

I was flipping channels and thought, hey, wouldn't it be great to find some Jamiroquai on TV? I switched to VH1+ Mega Hits (a channel I've never watched) and caught the end of Virtual Insanity. How strange is that?

I want more!

Later my jamiropeeps!

Jamiroquai shortage in the states!!
buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

First off...Wink Smile WELCOME TO JAMIROTALK DIDJER Smile Wink, hope you have a great time here! Now to the topic at hand, well, being from the states too, I can understand all your feelings. I have only seen Jamiroquai once in my whole 12+ years of covering the band, 9:30 Club in DC back in 1997. I have a feeling the next tour by Jam in early 2005 will be a "World Tour" of the same size of the 1997 tour for TWOM. But, since Jamiroquai got stuck in the States on 9/11, they might have more additional security when they fly over and stick to a "Big Cities" only tour of the States, but they might also do some of the "small venues" too, but it's all questionable how their touring schedule will go..hehe! But nonetheless, I'm sure it will be one of the best tours for Jamiroquai to date Wink! Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

The only time I watch music videos on tv is when I go to the gym, and now I'm always hanging out to catch a jamiroquai video. Yesterday they played a snippet of Comic Girl over a promo ad for the channel that was showing but the didn't follow it with the clip. Sad Oh, and there's a program on one of the music channels that has a shot of Jay in the opening titles, hooray! ^_^ I was really excited when i noticed that the first time. Very Happy

hey
hey I'm a newbie too (just found your site through funkin.com). I'm glad there are so many jamiroquai fans active on this board. I'm in the US too and I too am very dissappointed on the low commercializing of jamiroquai in the US. It amazes me that they use jamiroquai as background music (i.e. MTV, VH1) but don't play them on their stations. I was even shocked to hear them in the new napoleon dynamite commercial. But ya I hope jamiroquai comes back to the US, I regret missing their free show in san fran way back so I hope they will do some sort of tour here. But anyways hey to everyone Very Happy

Hmm, about MTV. Probably today, MTV just broadcast many pop music and shit, yes, really just shit. But I remember in the 90s, Jamiroquai get placed on the rankings and tv programs. I have recorded some videos from MTV, great gems. MTV isn't like the old days, but it was the channel make it Jamiroquai famous in Latin America (with videos like Space cowboy and virtual insanity and in some specials) where the band is little underground too and you got so emotionated when listen to too young to die at the radio.

Good vibes, Nicolas.
