why so few live dvds from jamiroquai??!!
when i look on youtube and find great quality live gigs like Paleo 2010 which have obviously been properly filmed, it makes me wonder why there aren't more live dvds we can buy - jamiroquai are a live band through and through - who is filming these concerts and why bother if they won't be released??!! _________________ I must have died and gone to heaven cos it was quarter past eleven |

Do you know that Sony filmed few lives between 1993-1995 and ALL Jamiroquai's gigs from 1996 until 2006!
Look that treasures that Sony could released...
Without Speaking about Eagle Rock which could released full Jamiroquai live in Montreux 1995 and 2002!
We'll have to wait...a bootleg! _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from"

yeah a good bootleg would be perfect - that's the thing the record companies and even the bands cry their eyes out about the money they lose from people making copies but they wont produce what we want!! i'd buy every live dvd of jamiroquai if they would only put them out there!

If they release the Jamiroquai Live in Montreaux 1995 we could have the full version of "Just Another Story"!!! _________________ Sounds Kind Of Funky!!

Indeed!
I wish one day they could do it...
On the Montreux 2002: TWM is one of the best version ever with Phoenix 97, Tokyo Dome 99 and Scala 07. _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from" |

I agree with the above comment, Montreux '02 is one of the most underrated Jamiroquai concerts. By the way, the full audio version of JAS from Montreux '95 is in circulation, it was shared a while back.
With regards to the topic, hundreds of concerts have been filmed. All concerts from 1999 - today have been recorded in at least audio form. Why on earth they released an pretty average concert - Verona '02 - on DVD is beyond me. Even Montreux '03 is pretty average compared with other recorded gigs, particularly all the concerts on the 1997 South American tour which were filmed. _________________ Bass to jazz.... j-j-j-jazz to bass... |

yeah! In my opinion, Live in Verona is far from being "average", their performing is close to perfection, hard to believe it was all performed live and not re-recorded (except for the guitar in COTE ).
the quality of that recording is one of the best you can find in a music store.
Montreux 2003 was a very good performance too, but the sound quality of that dvd/bluray is awful, sometimes it feels like listening to music underwater. |

Ok I admit that was a little unfair. Verona is a stunningly beautiful setting for a concert, and the performance was energetic. I guess mainly the setlist left a bit to be desired.
Apparently Sony cut out Space Cowboy and TWM from the Verona concert. WTF??? Quite possibly the two best tracks performed on the night (admittedly I'm guessing, but these songs were still great in the AFO era).
Montreux '03 is decent as well, but I do agree about the sound. Seems really odd given the quality of the footage and high standards of Montreux sounds.
I repeat what I said before - if you haven't seen the Montreux '02 videos, look them up. You won't be disappointed. I' dreally like to see that gig released too. _________________ Bass to jazz.... j-j-j-jazz to bass... |

Hello,
In speaking of recent full gigs that have been captured since Paleo 2010, you might want to check out the 'Search & Find' section, I uploaded the first hour of Jami's recent Paradiso gig, it was uploaded on the 'Orange' site, it's in FLV till some other great fan can convert it, just look out for the topic titled '[DL]Orange Promotion Concert' . Cheers!
Sincerely,
