News from Toby;)

Toby has recently launched the website of Angelic Record Productions - a label and company that produces and develops new musical artists before they are signed by major record labels such as Sony BMG, EMI, etc. Almost a year ago this site reported that Toby was working with a group called Grace who recently signed to EMI and Warner.
Toby is currently working with an alternative rock group called The Hoosier Complex, who are his first "signing" so expect some downloads of their music from the Angelic website soon. Toby describes their sound as "If you cross The Cure, with Jeff Buckley, and throw in a bit of Supertramp, you're getting close!", so don't expect to hear anything like Jamiroquai!
Away from work his son (Dylan) is now just over a year old, and his daughter (Anastasia) is now six, so he's keeping very busy both with work and family.

i have been waiting for some news from him for a long time,
its so amazing that at last Toby gave us some information about what he does now. i wanted to start a site about him, but so far i only started a page about Toby (on this page click "Toby Smith" button http://www.geocities.com/chillingtonrecords/mix.html )
Every day i think about him, he and J are my favourite
musicians. His writing/performing style is the best.
so of course i posted what wanted to tell Toby on www.funkin.com :

I often hear fans saying that they doubt that Toby's reason for leaving the band was to have more time for his family. For me it does make sense now. Of course it is hard to be away from your family for years, with little interruptions! Especially when you have little kids. You miss so much, and he has experienced this band life for a long period. I can fully understand that he wanted a change.
I didn't expect that he is now sitting 24/7 with his family at home. It was clear for me that he would continue to do someting with music.
It's great to hear that he can now have both: a "normal" family life and a continuing carreer as writer and producer! That's a really good solution for him!
The next step for me would be: Jamiroquai leaves Sony and Toby (Angelicrecords) will produce the next album! How cool would be that?????

i am afraid what if toby would say theres nothing interesting
in my music.. but Stu Zender once said there are things that can ruin you
and totally stop you or they can make you do your stuff with double power. Of course i want to try and actually
i think about it day and night... i will work in this direction
and first i need to find his e mail, because there is no
contact section on his site, only number of the manager's phone.
Toby is the main musician for me, and his opinion is the most important
for me.
hey and that thing about Toby's leaving jamiroquai -
i think we'll never know the truth until Toby says it in some interview.
i guess being a star in band like jamiroquai means having no life
except being a member of the band. he spent 10 years being a star
and didnt want to lose his chance to lead a "normal people" life.
but you shouldnt forget, during those 10 years he invented the
most deep and exclusive stuff, he made up most magical music
in the world.

he's under his time now. doing music on his watch. not having to be away from his family if he doesn't want to (unlike touring when someone else says go). makes perfect sense to me.
and while we're at it..i'm looking for that picture of toby that used to be on the official site with a cigarette in his hand and he's laughing at the camera...red jacket...where is it?
