Smoke City - Underwater Love
I also just got this album, and I'm still listening to it. The video for Underwater Love is trippy stuff, and I like it. Right now Underwater Love is my favorite track. The singer, Nina Miranda, really adds a sensual element to the music, which helps give it a distinct sound.

Hi funky, I strongly recommend that album (Flying away), it´s one of my favorites. A long time ago I used to be a huge fan of smoke city particularly nina miranda. I think she always was a magnificent singer and lyricist and quite underrated. Check out other of her collaborations such as Da Lata, Shrift or recently Zeep. They have a lot of bossanova, trip hop and even some traces of acid jazz.

Cheers !! ...

Oh, yeah I forgot to mention the album name. Whoops! Flying Away is very enjoyable. Did you ever listen to the follow up album? I might get it, if it's good.

Thanks for the tips, Vintage. I'll look into those side projects.

Yeah, I also have Heroes of Nature, it´s not as good as Flying away, but it keeps the essence. Listening to Smoke city is very addictive, they manage to create a spirituous atmosphere on their tunes. Particularly Flying away, the more you listen to it the more you like it.
They are old school musicians, I red somewhere they decided to end up Smoke City to get out of the label pressure.

Nina also worked with a number of other artists (Nitin Sawhney, Bebel Gilberto, Spiller, Faze Action, Jah Wobble, Les Gammas, Troubleman, Arkestra 1, Hajime Yoshizawa, Robert Miles, .... ). Her line of action is quite alternative.

By the way, she is a very hot and sexy girl, but already commit with one of the band members Smile

Here they are

Cute video. Too bad about the label pressure, but that's the way of life. Thanks for the insight.
