Dynamite SURVIVOR!
Okay I'm gonna try this and see how it goes, I've seen it on lots other band forums and it can be rather interesting.
I'm going to post a list of all the songs form 'Dynamite' and what you do is vote for your least favourite from the selection. At the end of the day (or whenever there have been a decent amount of votes) the song with the most votes is removed from the list. Then the list is posted again (by me) and you vote again from the remaining songs which one you like the least. At the end we'll have the best song from 'Dynamite' as voted by JamiroTalk! Hope you understand
Okay, here goes:
DAY 1 - Vote for your least favourite
1. Feels Just Like It Should
2. Dynamite
3. Seven Days In Sunny June
4. Electric Mistress
5. Starchild
6. Love Blind
7. Talulah
8. (Don’t) Give Hate A Chance
9. World That He Wants
10. Black Devil Car
11. Hot Tequila Brown
12. Time Won’t Wait
MY VOTE - Feels Just Like It Should _________________

Hey!
World That He Wants...not because it's a bad song, but because it's very quiet compared with the other tracks on the album. After all, the album is called "Dynamite".

I'm probably gonna get clubbed for this, but...I vote for Don't Give Hate A Chance. If Jamiroquai gets on a second head of steam in the States with Dynamite, the release of this song as a single may bring everything to a crashing halt. 'Chance' has a definite disco vibe and the last time JMQ attempted disco with Canned Heat, it bombed horribly here (although it was a success everywhere else).
I also don't particularly like the "you don't have to fight a man just because you know you can" stuff...I would love nothing more than to see peace on Earth without wars, but sometimes, there is no choice but to fight in order to gain peace. And that's not coming from a Bush-loving conservative (I'm a moderate), that's from a realist. Just my opinion. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. Otherwise, I have to be honest, I can see a situation where...there is a possibility that you become lost in the annals of acid jazz history." -- Jason Kay |

world that he wants. not to say it's a badly written song, it's just that it doesn't stand out as compared to the other songs. dynamite's answer to AFO's Black Crow and Synk's King for a day, all of which have at one time or another been seen as low points.
but of course, i certainly wouldn't discourage jay from writing more about political haywire & cries for social consciousness.
Supersonic1, don't worry, i can also sorta see the kitsch factor in Chance. i still think it's a fun song tho. thanks for offering your insight, it's quite thought provoking |

World that he Wants, because I hate it. Even though its got nice lyrics, good message bla bla bla, its still not a good song in my opinion. _________________ Fascist.
