July 16, 2011 - Gurten Music Festival - Bern, Switzerland
Hey Jamirotalkers,
So at the moment. I'm in London! Just arrived here from Los Angeles yesterday (or 2 days ago.. it's late). Specifically, I'm staying in Hertfordshire, and taking the train out to London everyday. Not sure how close that is to Chillington, but I wish I could go for a visit!
Anyway, in about a week, I'll be taking a short flight to Switzerland as I'm going to see Jamiroquai at the Gurten Music Festival on July 16!!! This is going to be my first time ever seeing Jamiroquai and I'm terribly excited!!!
Anyone of you happening to be attending this gig? It'd be cool to see/meet up with a Jamily member. On that note, anyone in London or Hertfordshire care to hang out and have coffee over Jamiroquai? hahahaha, a long shot but worth a try!! _________________ www.funkfiction.com |

Just a thought for you all in Bern this evening where i would love to have come, but I am still working at Montreux Jazz the last night,so will be trying to direct and control around 4 thousand spectators to the Auditorium for Deep Purple!. I have seen some great acts, but remain faithful to Jay and Co,where they are still in evidence since the 2003 performance in Montreux.love and have a great evening.Pippa. |

Perhaps the greatest music experience of my life and one of the most fun times of my life as well. Last night a lovely memory that I'll genuinely carry with me forever.
Expect a full review of it in the coming days as I'm still in Switzerland and want to stay in the moment and enjoy myself until I leave back to Los Angeles (unfortunately, haha).
I'll just say that even the RDLS tracks that were performed were mind-blowing. When live, Jamiroquai is just another story! _________________ www.funkfiction.com |

Absolutely, I find Jamiroquai much better live! You can't say this about that many bands... _________________ 'White gets two and black gets five...years!' - EONPLE. |

Setlist (according to setlist.fm):
Rock Dust Light Star
Main Vein
Cosmic Girl
High Times
Little L
Canned Heat
Love Tonight
Feels Just Like It Should
Love Foolosophy
Travelling Without Moving
Alright
Deeper Underground
Encore:
White Knuckle Ride (wish it was Space Cowboy, haha)
There's a mistake in there.. I don't know what "Love Tonight" is and I'm trying to remember what actually was there if at all... Anyway, I'd write more but I have to wake up in 5 hours to fly to LA and I'm exhausted. Just checking in for a sec. Good to see some videos showing up! _________________ www.funkfiction.com |
