Yeah that'd be wonderful.. especially since they always play their songs differently from studio versions. Live versions almost always tend to have a new variation or extended section or something about it that defines the song more than just the studio version. I'd love to hear that with Smile. It'd also be nice if they pulled a "Shoot The Moon" and played a brand new song that they've been working on "really really really recently". _________________ www.funkfiction.com |

I can see them playing Smile at a more intimate gig rather than a big concert. |

As would I, I think it'd be great, but I personally think that it'd suit a Jazz Cafe setting more than a large concert with 20 odd thousand. I know that all of us here would love to hear it live regardless of location, but the band has to think beyond the jamily and cater for the large majority, who scream for Love Fool/Canned Heat/Little L. Adding to that I guarantee you 80-90% of concert goers wouldn't have even heard of Smile, so you can imagine going from a well known, high tempo song to an unknown, albeit brilliant, track -- you'd start to lose the crowd. |

YEAH! i like that idea. Now that I think of it, a more intimate space would make it even better. I'd love to hear SMILE at a cozy jazz cafe or someplace like that. |
