Little bummed out that I have to fork out $500+ to get a seat in the first 5 rows. I'm going to do it since this is apparently the only Australian show, but something tells me I'm going to have great difficulty convincing a mate to go Laughing

Hello, I just found this video of Jay in full form , announcing the Australian New year gig. Says he will be the only straight act there and wants lots of Assie beauties around. He doesn't change ! We wouldn't want him to. Will be an amazing show anyway. love pippahttp://au.tv.yahoo.com/sunrise/video/-/watch/27407316/jamiroquai-heading-to-australia/

Just purchased my ticket for a little under $600 -- it'll have to be the most expensive 2 hours of my life... the things I do for this band!! Laughing The best seat I could get is in the 4th row from the stage, middle section. Apparently front row seats were reserved for AMEX holders... a friend of mine that possesses an AMEX centurion had no luck however.

Semi-good news for those that can't make it, the entire event will be broadcast on Main Event (pay-per-view) for $24.95.

The word is that this event is not selling very well, presumably due to the ticket prices.

I'm a little annoyed that I paid $600 for a seat and they just recently reduced the VIP ticket prices down to $495 (from $750). Sure the "VIP Towers" are all the way back but it includes all day/night food & alcohol. All I get a seat and I'll only be there for a couple of hours to see Jamiroquai.

What's disappointing is that the band will likely use the small crowd as somewhat of a gauge of their popularity in Australia. I'm sure if the band held their own concert with respectable ticket prices ($80-$90) it'd be close to a sellout.
