I was just coming in here to post this. I got this wire today:

Jamiroquai lover? You'll fancy these Oakley JK15 Split Thump MP3 sunglasses, then
By Katherine Hannaford Tech Digest - Monday, February 25 11:37 am
You've heard my opinion on the Split Thump MP3 player sunglasses from Oakley in today's video review, but did you know they're launching a special edition pair with the man possibly more famous for his hats than his music, Jamiroquai.
They'll be the 1GB model just like I reviewed, only have a special purple and white camouflage pattern on the arms and a lilac 'O' for the integrated control system on the sides. There will be only 500 pairs sold around the world, with just half of them in the UK. 1GB should allow you to fit around 250 tracks, with two being pre-loaded for the Jamiroquai fans, exclusive remixes from his album launched 15 years ago, Emergency on Planet Earth.
They'll be £289.99, or US$569 if the exchange rate is obeyed. Be warned, though: if you couple these shades with a trilby hat, that may just be the tipping point where you find all your friends have deserted you.

I would settle just to have them without the mp3 player in them and just the graphics...
I used to work right by Oakley (I even almost got a job there) they are located in Irvine Ca,
I am going to have to make a visit to the factory maybe they have some samples they can hook me up with !!!!
I think the style is pretty cool considering they have to fit an mp3 player in there!
I would wear them!
and EOPE Remixes ! How cool is that???

Cool ones - I would love to have them
but not for that damn high price
Makes no sense for me, as all my sunglasses have some "cruel accidents", like falling from balcony while looking down, "sitting" them into pieces with my ass.....and my favourite: loosing them while mowing the lawn....what a fun for the mower blade to crush them
...so only cheap ones for me
PS: Good luck jgrizz to grab some _________________

Hello,
Hmmm....Jamiroquai appeasing the rich Jamiroquai fans out there with these new shades, very enticing and look great ! But jeez, over $500 for 1 pair, that is highway robbery....or merely highway vision robbery....hehe *Insert sarcastic laughter here* . Still, if one of us can plonk that kind of bread down JUST to find out what remixes are being used, would be good....I guess. Maybe Cante Hondo? Or new ones? Who knows, thanks for the newsitem though, appreciated ! Cheers!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

I always thought MP3 player sunglasses were a wank.
No less so with Jamiroquai graphics... |

Surely I won't! I will wait until the official release and grab a CD.
Almost 400€ for a pair of glasses is way too much! _________________

There are now a limited number (15) available at the official Jamiroquai shop at www.jamiroquai.com for £300, which is more money than they were originally selling for...what the hell is up with that?
They also say on the official site that there are only 2,500 pairs available, but all the press releases said there were only 500.
Not like I'm getting a pair, but still... _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |
