Zotter chocolate from Austria
Last november Rosa and I have been away to see my brother in Vienna.
One day of our stay his girlfriend took us to the small village of Bergl close to Riegersburg in the Austrian Bundesland of Styria (Southern Austria).
There we visited Josef (Sepp) Zotter's chocolate factory where we could test all of the 300 kinds of different chocolates they produce there.
Mad stuff! And definitely the best chocolate I ever tasted!!! It's pornicious!
And with a good consciousness, because the ingredients used in that factory are from organic cultivation and fairly traded.
That's also why this chocolate isn't the cheapest, but it's definitely worth its price.
By the way, Meike will like this, apart from the dark chocolate, they also produce vegan white and brown chocolate. Instead of cow milk they put soy milk into it. I tried it and I was agreably surprised by its good taste.
Myself, I have a quite classic taste of chocolate, my 3 favourites are:
- The milk chocolate with 50% cocoa from Ecuador (strong and mild at once)
- The white chocolate (I never ate such aromatic white chocolate before!)
- The dark chocolate with 68% cocoa from Congo (it has a long agreable aftertaste)
Finally the link to the Zotter online shop:

2 other kind I can recommend are the hand scooped "Bird's eye Chilli" (which is also vegan by the way) and the hand scooped "White poppy with cinnamon and Apricot spirit".
