Who Sampled Jamiroquai?
Hi people,
Surfing around the web, I've stopped in a new website, that I didn't know, and could be interesting.
There are some informations about some songs which were used to sample musics from Jamiroquai. This list can go bigger, with time and cooperation of all.
Here it stays the link:

Enjoy! _________________

"Who do you believe in" always gets me mad.
2pac was amazing no doubt, but get credit where credit is due.
Whenever that song comes on and I'm with my friends or family, they always say 2pac always makes the best beats.
Not 2pac mother fucker.
Kind of an odd choice for the rapper that sampled "Everyday". But props for him giving love to jamiro.
Nice find. _________________

Another one that site didn't mention as I don't think it's really sample, they just stole the lyrics from Half The Man
Pharrell Williams/Kanye West - Number 1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxgfspeEmco
"Yesterday I was half the man you see, that's because your the other half of me."

Madlib sampled "Didgin' Out" in his track "Never Front"
Souls of Mischief sampled "Journey to Arnhemland" in "Shooting Stars"
Missy Elliot sampled "Morning Glory" in "Bite Our Style"
Moodymann sampled "Do You Know Where You're Coming From" in "The Setup"
Those are all of the notable artists that I know of who have sampled Jamiroquai. |

Tupac died the very month Travelling Without Moving came out. So how could he have sampled Everyday? |

well I know it ain't the right source, but Wiki says the song was released in '99, and gives credit to Manifest Destiny.
find out the proper credits -it looks to be released posthumously. |

Yeah, it can be heard. I just searched both on Youtube and listened carefully. It's a small sample, but it's used over and over.
Suge Knight was the one who pushed this through. Can't exactly blame 'Pac since he died years prior to. |

Yeah it is. It's likely some old hustler name from the 70s he gave himself to sound like the gangster he always wanted to be. |

I never said he did. I'm talking about someone on the link the OP posted. It's all good in the hood. ^_^. _________________

So I saw the movie "Notorious".
I didn't know much about the story of Biggie & Tupac.
I wonder how accurate it is.
It sorta makes Suge out to be the bad guy imo. The media is perhaps driven by the industry. |

"my Detroit Players" (if I had to pick I'd pick East coast)
I highly doubt this was made in 1996, because Traveling without Moving wasn't officially released until like January 10th, 1997 in the U.S. Although it was on the radio a couple months before. I'll bet it's mixed in 1997 or later.
But nice that Jamiroquai is there again |
