I meet the Queen, LITERALLY!
Hello,
Well, I know I have been missing lately, but something pretty cool, on international standards, happened to me today. If many of you don't know, Virginia and England are celebrating the 400th Anniversary of the founding of the first English settlement in North America in Virginia this year, Jamestown. England's Queen Elizabeth 2 is visiting Virginia as part of the celebration for the next 4-5 days. Today, she made a visit to the Virginia State Capital Building, designed by founding father Thomas Jefferson, to get a guided tour of the newly renovated building with our new Democratic Governer Tim Kaine. She did a "walkabout" before entering the Capital building and I was lucky enough to be in the crowd looking onward, she walked slowly and shook hands and accepted gifts from the people there. I actually got to meet her in the front row, I was awestruck and the only thing I could say to her was, "I love your Jamiroquai!". She reacted with a slight confoundedness, but chuckled back with a steadfast demeanor, "I certainly love them too!", she continued on accepting lots of flowers and gifts from the other well wishers. I didn't get a chance to get a picture of her and me taken, but that was a very cool moment for me and I thought I would share it. Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________
