Hi there. I'd have to say:
Worst song:electric mistress - just no tune
Worst video: seven days in sunny june - compare this with his eope vids and youll see that he has lost his early ideals and become a mainstream pop artist. Though the song itself is fine.

Disappointing things: The band did not release a studio version of the use the force outro, do that dance or the alternative tytd intro, and the album version of twm is short and bland, when compared to the live versions. Just my opinion. feel free to disagree. cheers

When you listen the gigs from the TWM era, it's clear that some songs have been edited :/ Just listen TWM, it's just obvious with this song.
Do that dance has been scrapped, it's normal if they didn't do a studio version Laughing . The alternative tytd was just a gig exclusive... Artists don't have to release everything they're doing, it would be...pointless
And for the worst video, i don't understand what seven days in sunny june has to do with his ideals. and by the way they're also partying in the blow your mind video :/

Well for me the difference between the blow your mind video and the sdisj video is that the sdisj vid just seems more shallow, and kind of degrading for women. The blow your mind video has a more positive atmosphere to it for me. But hey, we're two different people, i may just think kind of old fashioned like. And about the live gigs yeah i know what you're getting at, I just think its a pity they left some of their good music off record Laughing .

Seems like the crowd was just getting out of control, and Jay said something like "I only see tits" or something like that because the girls all pulled their T-shirts up and showed what's under there. Someone threw a bottle at him and Jay shouted: "Haha, motherfucker, you missed!!!" (The famous quotation.) Another band who played there said that people lighted fires and that it was just fucking hot and not enough to drink and to eat and not enough security people and badly organised. So you can imagine.

I'm surprised you didn't hear about it when it went down.

It was gross.
People were so high and so drunk that they just were acting like ignorant asses. Doing things that are so not funny like setting things on fire, peeing wherever they wanted, booing performers, tearing down vendor stands, having sex in public - oral and vaginal and then my personal favorite was throwing of their poop.

It was out of control, and the organizers did a poor job. It was hot as hell, and they charged an ungodly amount for water, but then ran out of it. The little bathrooms weren't enough for the big crowd and they flooded (causing people to pee wherever).

The nudity wasn't an issue, there are usually drunk girls at every big concert pulling up their shirts and showing boobs...

Whoa that sounds pretty... chaotic!
And I didn't hear about it back then because (a) I was 11 years old, (b) the internet wasn't so widely spread, (c) I didn't even watch tv (news at least) at that age.

worst vid: it really wasnt the vid, it was more the prostitute theme of FJLIS. In this country, and in others, a large portion of women become prostitutes because they have run away from home due to being kicked out and verbal/physical/sexual abuse. Plus alot of women are sold into prostitution or perhaps in a place where there is nothing its all they can do to support a family. That theme really conflicted with the anti-war make peace vibe. I didnt understand it.

worst song: mm- again its more the lyrics... Theres hope though for songs that are less about the bedroom and somebody being upset and more about ? addressing the times we are living in/ finding some peace.
