Jamiroquai on the Naked Chef
This is for everyone in the U.S. that receives BBCAmerica. Next week on Tuesday, June 26 at 1 p.m. (EST) BBCA will be airing the Naked Chef episode that featured Jay and the Band from 2001. It is entitled "Rock and Roast" and Jamie Oliver goes out to Jay's house to cook for the band. They perform "Lovefolosophy".
I have been waiting for years to see this again!

it does get repeated on UKTV food quite alot which is one of the bbc digital channels so i could record it in dvd quality if you like?

I'm glad Russky that you could help by recording DVD quality. I would have offered if I had the technology. I'm just lucky I can record it on my VCR. (you all can stop laughing now how out of it I am!).
I'm a bit of a Luddite in that way..

BBCA ran the Rock and Roast episode today, but did a ham-handed job at editing. I knew they cut out for commercials, but they chopped off several good Jay cameos.
Phooey! They took out Jay and Jamie going down to the village liquor store to get drinks and the stroll around Jay's kitchen garden picking veg.
But we did see him helping with the roast, performing Lovefool and eating and jumping in the pool at the end.
I guess I will just have to eventually order the DVD set and watch it on my computer (drat those regions...............)
Susan who was cursing as the BBCA channel went off the air on her dish ten minutes before the airing of the Naked Chef...................................it came back on after 5 minutes otherwise someone in India would have gotten an earbashing.............. |

I love this episode!!! so much I bought the season on DVD........All the guys looked in high spirits Rob-guitar, Nick bass, Sola-he likes cake, Derrick, Toby-I've heard about you!, and Simon! I've actually cooked the same meal that Mr Oliver cooks for the lot, and It was absolutely brilliant.......one downside, I neither had the awesome studio with phenomenal band playing or the swimming pool......Anyway I love that Episode!!! |
