Is it just me, or does the text logo...
...take slight inspiration from various Asian symbols/letters? For example, the shape letter 'a' in the logo looks strikingly like the letter 'O' from the Lao script flipped upside down, while the 'ro' ligature in the logo looks like the Devanagari letter "Ttha", or the Georgian letter "Don".
Discuss. |

Just rotate the Lao letter by 180 degrees, and you'll see what I mean... |

Ok, and how did you come up with the idea of comparing the Jamiroquai typeface and Lao script? _________________

Mmm yep.
I don't think Jay actually took the time to do that.

Don't really know, even though the "RO" ligature really seemed asian to me... Maybe I was Asian in my past life...
True, Jay certainly never took his time to do that, but this coincidence is very... Erm -- weird, in a way... |

i'm with diego. in fact in my opinion jay's design is the one we can read in "when you gonna learn" acid jazz single, and the latter text may be a re-design by any designer based on jay's text (althogh this is only my assumtion). i don't think is based in any cultures text... _________________
