Jamiroquai perception
Hello,
Well, what lovely experiences you have all shared, thank you from me to you ! Well, when it came to me and the music of Jamiroquai, it really was a godsend for me musically speaking. I mean, in the time of the early 90s, I was just getting over my teenage dependance of "1 hit wonders" and all the "fad music" of the time that had a record store shelf life of maybe 2-3 months. When 1992 rolled around, a smorgesboard of new music splashed on the shores of the U.S. from England, reviving our stale music market. And Jamiroquai may have stayed a dormant underground musical hit in England & slowly a force to be reckoned with on college radio (The ONLY place to hear new music from England in those days). To me, Jamiroquai wasn't only a collection of different music genres, but HOW music SHOULD be made! Made with friends "On the fly", no practice, shoddy instruments and songs ACTUALLY about things effecting the world and how to correct them. Yeah, the music scene may be slowly going back that progressive way this year 4 years into the new millenium, but I always look back on those "golden days" with a fond smile and a wipe of happy tears out of the eyes. Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
