Definitely EOPE and TROTSC are the real Jamiroquai (I cant include here TWM,becouse thats the album where the illness began to manifest, damn,f**ing electro, but TWM its good for me) and then the damn SYNK with the boring Supersonic(only Soul Education could save the album) and on,and on,and on.................But in general,I think its an natural evolution of Jay,he gets older and more "serious" in his music, experimenting with "new musical styles" for example the thing called POP (IM not ironic, but I cant find other way to expres myself),becouse he is bored of doing masterpieces like Mr.Moon,Space Clav,Do that dance,Life Goes On,EOPE,BYM.....But,but,Im optimistic, so lets hope |

More serious?Oh come on!!!Would you call "Shit devil car" more serious than Too young to die?
I think that the period of TWM was the period when the band started to explore the possibility that the public didn't like their previous stuff cuz it was less mainstream, but at the time I think the gap between TWM and what other "artists" did at the time was huge.So the fact that people liked it was, well,by chance.Synk without Supersonic and Canned heat isn't a bad album at all,but it's definitely when the transition between the Jami that I and many others prefer and this "new" band. That's the first time we heard an absolutely pointless song, like supersonic, but you cannot say that the new ways of the band were that bad,cuz per example take "Planet home",may be electro and all that but you could still feel that there was something behind it all,and Soul education is the best track of the album.
But moving on to the later stuff,on AFO the electro starts to bore us.And I think that's when really things changed radically. The only song on the album that has an even close to honest feel on the album is Picture of my life, the rest of it is either totally fake,or Jay getting paranoied all the time
Let's not talk about Dynamite! It's an album that to me sounds very...tiresome for some reason,I feel like they haven't really put themselves into it,the songs feel like they're only done to end the deal and put it all behind them
Tho I must say Time won't wait and Starchild are pretty funky songs. The Bush song,World that he wants, bores my ears every time I listen to it.It may be honest, but it doesn't feel that way.And too much screaching lol.
Well I think that was enough nonsense for today.Thank you for reading! _________________

Watch out Miss Chita, you are insulting,Its just my opinion and you dont need to call me babbooooooon and I love JAMIROQUAI,but I dont like Synk.Im a big Jamiroquai fan since 2003 and believe it or not,I was in love with Little L,CAnned Heat,YGSM,Lovefool but OMG when I came in touch with the first three album I was amazed. So now,I just forgot to listen to these songs ........ and the question is why?Two answers:
1.Becouse I dont like this songs anymore ....Lol
2.Becouse I like the first 2,5 albums (masterpieces)..... |

Lol fortunately for us y'all are not in Jamiroquai . If Jamiroquai is still relevant today, it's because they were able to renew their repertoire.
And everyone, stop with the "real" Jamiroquai. Jay Kay never said "We're an acid jazz band and we will do that forever", they're doing music.
They play acid jazz, funk, rock, reggae, disco etc... Fans always want their favorite bands to limit themselves. If they had continued with the acid jazz thing, they would be an underground band today, and 90 % of this site wouldn't know them. Personally I don't care if their next albums is not acid jazz. There's a ton of bands doing that, and their first albums won't disappear either.
To finish, Stuart wouldn't have changed a damn thing :/ His last tune with the band was "Deeper Underground", and it has nothing to do with EOPE or TROTSC. And all his projects after Jamiroquai had nothing to do with the old Jamiroquai, it was rnb, rock, but it had nothing to do with acid jazz. Only now he intends to do an acid jazz project, almost 10 years after his departure of Jamiroquai |

Hahaha yea it was r'n'b,rock BUT at least it was quality music! And there's nothing wrong with disco funk or reggae
But rock?Electro?Come on!that stuff simply don't have enough soul! _________________

You lost me there. When Stuart does rock it's cool, but when Jamiroquai do rock it's not cool ?
And that was not my point anyway. You kept saying that the real Jamiroquai were in the first albums, thanks to Stuart. But Stuart didn't do one acid jazz track after Jamiroquai. It means that it wouldn't have changed anything if Stuart had stayed, Jay didn't intend to do an acid jazz album after TROTSC.

Well if you can't do it then it's not cool!
I didn't say it was thanks to Stuart
But somehow when Stuart left stuff changed _________________

Things already changed with TWM. It had nothing to do with the EOPE and TROTSC. Hell, it sounded more like Synkronized than those two albums. Maybe if Stuart hadn't left, the albums would have been better. But they wouldn't have done a whole acid jazz album, it's clear. Jay would have still dismissed the whole brass section etc... |

God damn it I never said I wanted an acid jazz album
All I said was that I want some good music again,of any kind
Seeing that lately they aren't particularly good with electro and they've never been good with rock all I'm saying is that they should stay away of those
Do whatever else they wanna do as long as it's good
Sorry but Dynamite was no good! _________________

He wanted to experiment on AFO and Dynamite, that's it. No need to diss the man himself, just because you didn't like 2 albums on 6 albums :/.
And I liked "the world he wants". Still don't understand why every Jamirofan is dissing it... |

Intelligent conclusion of a joke to have so much spare time, I'll give you that
D!
PD: And this topic became another "Post-1999-Jamiroquai-Sounds-Like-Sh*t". Get over it folks, everyone has their own opinions, there's really not that much to it, we've talked about this sooo many times!! |
