I'm not really big on house music (I think I get it mixed up with sort of French disco stuff e.g. Modjo, Benjamin Diamond, Daft Punk etc lol!) but one album I would recommend if it can be classed as house is this one:

See http://www.discogs.com/release/473869

Tracklisting:
1. Most Wanted
2. In Love with You - Paradise, Romualdo
3. Music Sounds Better with You - Stardust
4. Intro
5. At Night [Alan Braxe Remix] - Shakedown
6. Love Lost
7. Palladium
8. Arena
9. Rubicon
10. Penthouse Serenade
11. Link 'N' Rings
12. Vertigo - Alan Braxe

It's a really great album - the Stardust track has to be one of my favourite tracks ever!! Intro is also funky funky funky!!

I highly recommend this album Very Happy

I've uploaded another couple of mixes to my WaxDJ account, they're a little different to the first few, "foolin' around #4" is still housey but more loungy this time (in case any of you were not in a dancing mood but still wanted the beats) and there's a special mix I did for the gym that I think most of you will like - I stuck a Jamiroquai track on there for you all...

...enjoy! (and let me know what you think!) Wink

House music has been very nice these last years. I remember, it's about seven years ago, I went almost every weekend to my favourite disco listening and dancing to very fine House tunes with loads of jazzy and funky influences. I even remember they used to play very good Jamiroquai remixes and once even a remix of "Nights over Egypt" by Incognito.

I think the best of the year are 'Groove Armada' who never fail to impress me with their versatility and range of dance music which is non-offensive and pure - incorporating all styles. Cool
Definately own - Soundboyrock

Yep, I have to agree here. One of the surprises for me this year has been Soundboy Rock. It took me a couple of listens to get to appreciate it in full form.
I listened 'The Girls Say' in repeat for like an entire week! That chorus is superb stuff.

Somebody else mentioned Dimitri From Paris, there are some pretty good compilations by him, mostly lounge.
'Cruising Attitude' has some very good tracks too, check out the song 'Not Quite Disco' Wink

I like this topic, don't know why I missed it.

D!

Just in case anyone downloaded the Boxing Mix, I've posted a revised version which has a better mix into the last track. This mix features the Knee Deep Re-Edit of Jamiroquai's "Love Foolosophy" and Little Big Bee's take on Incognito's "Who Needs Love". I think most of you will like it, give it a go... Wink

I just listened to it. A great album indeed, it has some very very catchy songs! I recommend it too, specially if you dig Daft Punk ('Discovery' era).
Thanks for listing it!

I will also recommend in here Roger Sanchez 'First Contact'

Cassius 'Au Reve'

Daft Punk 'Discovery'
