I have been telling this ages ago in a pet-topic somewhere here, but it's years ago, so I'll tell you again. 
I have a black male cat: his name is Morpheus -
We have chosen this name for some reasons:
- We were searching for a name beginning with "M" because we all have names with "M" and he shouldn't be excluded.
- We loved to watch "The Matrix" (part 1!!) those years.
- Morpheus was the god of dreams in Greek mythology. He was the son of Hypnos, the god of Sleep. And as our cat is black as the night and loves hanging around and sleeps a lot, the name fits perfectly.

In the 80's we had a show called the Flodders.
(maybe some germans of belgium ppl know this show because they sold it)
Anyway, it is about this rude anit social family, the Flodders
And they own a dog called Whisky 
So i don't think lot's of dogs own that name over here.
