Yes indeed, Remich is a nice spot, with all the wineyards at the Moselle. _________________

I've been holidaying, working and studying and occasionally dropping by funkin.
It's time I got back to checking in with my Jamily and catching up on Jami news.
Glad to see it's business as usual - !!! Jamily UP !!!

Indeed, our 'gaff' is along the road from Luxembourg City going into Remich, right on the banks of the River Moselle looking over to Germany. It has a historic fountain at the foot of the entrance up the hill to it, it's called Buschland - !!! You can't miss it !!!

uhm... I just realísed that I didn´t even introduce myself, shame on me....
ok here we go real quick:
my name is carmelo (half german/half italian)
S-Tatic is my DJ name since 1999
I started DJíng at the age of 14 at home of course, but had my first gigs already when I turned 18.
I´m 34 years old now (i still feel like somewhere in the 20´s dough...)
I´m pretty much proud that i can say, I´m propably the first DJ that played jamiroquai in a club in germany!!!
I got "too young to die" back then as a direct uk import at wom (music store that doesn´t exist anymore).
that was on a friday in early 1993 and on saturday I played it at the club I was working in at that time.
well, and since then I´m addicted to the music of that alien calling himself "jay kay"
ohh, u didn´t know he´s an alien?
well then show me another earthling with so much funk in his veins, creativity and style!!! _________________ "...I found a god that I can pray to...

Hey carmelo,
welcome to jamirotalk, again.
I have moved your introduction into this thread because the birthday threads will die sooner or later, this one will stay.
A german dj who digs jamiroquai... oh dear!!
I should have known you earlier, in my "wild party years"...
I remember between 1993 and 1996, in my favourite club, there was a DJ I knew quite good.. and he played one jamiroquai song for me each time when I was there.
Our next jamily meeting should be in the club where you are dj-ing!! I bet good music would be bound to occur!!!
Where are you from? Surely we will meet at one of the next jamiroquai gigs in Germany!

hmmm..... the more I think about it, the more I´m unsure if it was "too young to die" or "when you gonna learn"
which one came out first???
I have to find those records somewhere in my chaos over here..
anyway....
due to the fact that most people are ignorant and stupid
(u sure all agree... )
I played like 70% hip hop (the real hard stuff!) and some RnB and Reggea/Dancehall only for the last 7 years!
but actually I´m in a restructuring process back to my roots.
since I can´t listen to most of that crap no more!
means that I´m changing my DJ-Set back to better music.
I´m starting to play in a club in Trier (www.forum-trier.de) in november.
and I would like to bring back quality, so I´d like to play some good
black music (more commercial Hip Hop/RnB) mixed with funky
vocal house tunes AAAAAND: some real 70´s funk and soul classics....
and everything new that fits my musical taste!
we´ll see what happens.......
one of the sadest facts in my life is propably that I haven´t ever
made it to come to a jamiroquai concert!!!
can u imagine that?
I always had to work or missed it for some other reasons.....
so we will DEFINITELY meet at the next gig, no matter where it is, I live close to mannheim but I got a fast car!!! _________________ "...I found a god that I can pray to...

To Jamily,
I am Heather, female, born in 1962 in north London, UK. I am one of the oldest Jamily members, and a member of Jamily since 2001.
Discovering Jamiroquai changed my life in so many ways . . . that's the 'stereotypical fan meets idol rant'. . . now Cosmic Bear groans - LOL - thank you Mr. Bear, but it's true.
What was the second amazing discovery after that blew my mind after the music of Jamiroquai, was the world of Jamily. Even my family are familiar and friendly with many of my closest Jamily friends.
My first live gig was at Clapham Common 2004, and that was the occasion for me to first meet the aristocracy and many other esteemed members of Jamily.
I have lived in Saudi Arabian for the last 22 years or so, I am married to a Saudi Arabian national to whom I bore four children:
Maye (daughter) - dob: 1987
Abd Al-Azeez (son) - dob: 1991
Hussa (daughter) - dob: 1995
El-Anoud (daughter) - dob: 1999
I work voluntarily in an official capacity in the field of preventative medicine for an agency supervised by the world health organization through the Ministry of Health http://www.flickr.people/the_taif_healthy_city_programme/
I am currently being trained as an organ procurement negotiator because organ donation is something I am hoping to effectively promote in my adopted home of Saudi Arabia, and where ever else I can.
Please read my profile for the tedious information that should tell all some more about me http://www.flickr.com/people/hues_of_heather/ _________________ Jamily to the bone !!!
