Ian Brown - The World Is Yours
Ian Brown - The World is Yours

Is released next week - 24th September and i have had a listen to it on an NME webplayer. I have followed Ian since the Stone Roses during the Indie era and have always loved the quality of the music he produces even though his voice is a little sketchy at times(especially live!).

have a listen Arrow http://www.nme.com/artists/ian-brown/media/777
you may need to register on NME - but it's free Wink

stand out tracks are:
- The World Is Yours
- On Track
- Sister Rose
- Save Us
- Street Children
- Some Folks Are Hollow
- Me And You Forever
- Illegal Atacks - current single

This new album is no exception as it is very well constructed and contains a rich variety of different instruments throughout including harp, timpani and our old friend 'The Strings' which is the reason i am plugging it on here. Very Happy
Last week during an interview on BBC Radio 6 with Steve Lamacq Ian mentions bringing in Simon Hale the master behind the String arrangements for Jamiroquai's 'Synkronized' tracks and how he loved them. Very Happy

listen to the interview here:(at around 1hr 32 mins in.)

if you prefer to download the album - let me know. Very Happy Wink

i know Vere - he's never been one to shy away from what he believes in and puts his point across.

This album is very political indeed, a good rant! Shocked

glad you like it missy even though his singing has never been of the best quality shall we say Confused

everyone still remembers him from 'The Stone Roses' though - awesome!
