this is supposed to be broadcast o n terrestorial tv this summer right???
also what happened to the gig being available on your walkman phone or was that just for people during the gig not as a download?

A few days ago I was in a book-shop and suddenly I saw the guiness book of world records 2008 and couldn't resist to have a search for the highest gig performed by Jamiroquai. 
Unfortunatley I only found a little article which was telling that shortly after Jamiroquai made this record, another band beat them with an even higher concert in a plane. I was a bit confused and shocked so I cannot remember the current record holder...  ... it's not jamiroquai anymore. It seems they didn't make it into the printed book 2008, besides the little mention of being the pre-record holder.
(Next time I am in the book-shop I will try making a pic of that article.)
Anyways, I was checking the website of the guiness world records and there you can have a little preview of some pages of the printed book of world records. And, indeed, there is the page with Jamiroquai! This must be the version which was planned to be printed. What a pity that it wasn't in the end.

Thats funny...a couple of weeks ago when I was in the shops , I too looked through to see the record, although the book I saw had Jamiroquai as holding the record for the highest gig i.e like the screenshot posted, they must have changed it since then. |

You mean the video from RTL with me and Jay? Yeah, I am so upset about this... They did film the whole conversation I had with Jay, I am pretty sure because the camera was there all the time. What you see in the little documentation at clipfish is just a cut from the welcoming. We were then talking 5 minutes or so, then we went into the plane (you can see that moment) and then we had another conversation of maybe 4-5 minutes. After that I go to my seat in the plane, saying hello to Derrick, Sola, Rob, Matt and Paul. What you see is only a very short summery of the whole meeting. I so wish I'd get the whole recording. I often asked the editor of RTL if I can get it - and also the recordings I did during the flight and the gig in athens with a smaller cam from RTL. They told me I will get the stuff for my own private use, but now they won't give it to me - the guy says he asked his boss but he is not allowed to give it to me. I am really really upset.

that's out of order meike 
there obviously scared of being done if you ever use that footage to your advantage - which we know you wouldn't. Just make sure it doesn't turn up on any other channels or websites, then you will have a case.
what about a petition to send to RTL 
as this is for the good of the forum and especially this topic. 
i mean we have a face to face section where we ask questions, that's what that was - an interview.
one more thing,
i thought this gig would be available to watch at somepoint?? either on the sony mobiles or broadcast on TV. Did that just mean during the flight for the winners??

as russky said, maybe we can send them a petition or something
the small clip is good but is not the whole video
we're the jamily, there will be a way to get the video without scare TRL people...i really hope at least they show the whole video on tv someday or something like that...and i must agree again with russky, what about the special stuff on the sony phones?it was good or really was something?
'cause i still dont understand that thing besides the info on the sony site

Although this is pretty old, I thought some of you may be interested in it. I did a search for Brittania on here and nothing containing reference to Gig in The Sky came up, so here goes.
This is an article about the technical dealings and lighting of Gig in the Sky and the concert in Athens.
