Did y'all hear the new tracks off the new album ? They are pretty rocky, but damn the bridges are classic Neptunes stuff, especially the track "Spazz" just woooow |

Yes, both Spazz and Ati have a huge "punk" influence, very strange, but very unique and energetic. |

Check out the tracks, they leaked out

There are some classics on the album, still I prefer ISO or FOD. Sooner or Later is the new Maybe |

Yeah the album leaked. I'll definitely cop it when it comes out here. It's clear they were having fun when they produced it. Yeah you, Sooner or later (the end of this track...), Love Bomb.... Hell the whole album .
Some tracks will bang live though. Sooner or Later... |

GREAT BEATS!!!! FLAT LYRICS!!!
Hello,
Yeah, NERD showcased some "amazing new musical bridging" on their newly leaked "Making Sounds", but the brilliance only becomes real apparent after repeated listens . But you have to admit, Pharrel and guys STILL can't write actual good lyrics, they got a LONG WAY to go, but making pretty sounds to cover that plain fact up kind of deminishs the song. The first single, "Everybody Noze", is a good example of that, did we really need a whole beat arc centralized around the heavy stand-bass and the redundant yelping "All The Girls In The Line For The Bathroom" in the chorus? Not really, but the amping up of the organic beat machine on it covers up that stupid lyric. But enough with my critical superficial views, if you like NERD, then buy this album, if you are looking for POP Dancey Music with more substance....then just keep moving on. Cheers!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

Of course I have to disagree... What type of lyrics could you imagine with such a heavy beat? What type of lyrics could describe better the mood in a club then this? Although I more prefer their epic songs then Everyboby nose for example, saying that the lyrics are flat is bullsh*t. The album is beat-driven, you don't have time to get deeper in the lyrics, the beats gonna catch your full attention. Of course Pharrell is not a poet but a producer, but I'd love to write such "flat" lyrics as he does..... ("her ass is a spaceship that I want to ride..." ) |

Pharrell never was the big lyricist anyway (even though he wrote some dope tracks like run to the sun or am I High). However he can be really enigmatic, like in Love Bomb, I swear the guy have to do drugs there's no other way loool.
And yeah I certainly don't listen N.E.R.D for the lyrics, they're just doing them, and we can feel that in the music. |

something about the new album just isn't right. doesn't feel like a N.E.R.D album..attempt to go too mainstream? a song like 'everybody noze' is a huge turn off for me, it's simply stupid sounding. 'you know what' is pretty good though. |
