DERRICK, ROB & PAUL PLAY FUNK-AFFAIR - 13 JULY 2008
REAL, the band set up by ex-Jamiroquai band member Winston Rollins are behind the launch of a regular monthly live funk residency at the world famous Ronnie Scotts jazz club in London's Soho.

"Take a significant portion of Jamiroquai, add some funky REAL together with a dash of hot brass, mixed with some wicked surprises each month, and you have Ronnie Scotts new monthly Funk Night - FUNK-AFFAIR! beginning Sunday 13th July."

"The gig is fronted by superb REAL vocalist Louise Pollock, together with Jamiroquai's Derrick McKenzie, Rob Harris and Paul Turner with Dan Carpenter's Hit Horns + a variety of guest vocalists and musicians."
For more information about Funk-Affair please visit the Ronnie Scotts website . More information about REAL can be found at http://www.myspace.com/realhome.

Here's another update from Funkin...

A few weeks ago funkin.com reported that Jamiroquai bandmembers Derrick McKenzie, Rob Harris and Paul Turner would be performing at Ronnie Scotts jazz club in London's Soho as part of a regular monthly live funk residency called "Funk-Affair" - organised by the people behind the group REAL.

Well, this coming Sunday (13 July) is their first gig and they will be joined on stage by Jamiroquai backing singer Hazel Fernandez.

For more information about Funk-Affair please visit the Ronnie Scotts website. More information about REAL can be found at http://www.myspace.com/realhome
