anybody already heard the very acoustic sounding live versions from the london sessions?
they are available on iTunes now...
i really like primitive and overpowered..i think " let me know" is not really as grooving in this version...
but still...interesting to hear it like this...
is the guitar slightly out of tune in " primitive"? _________________ "Here it is...there is no way to make it better " |

Roisin was interviewed on Triple J radio here this morning.
She also played an acoustic live version of Overpowered and a cover version of some other song which in my half-awake state at the time can't remember actually listening to...
JJJ has a weekly tv show too, and they usually show the 'Like a Version' segment on it, so the interview and everything will probably be shown on that sometime in the next few weeks. |

i haven't heard the i-tunes sessions yet sandra
i don't really want to pay for them to be honest as it is virtually thee same as she does on BBC Radio.
Hi Andy - it looks as if she has started her aussie promo then with festivals on the horizon there.
still liking 'keep it loose' too which is a b-side on 'you know me better' & 'pandora' - excellent! _________________

For USA fans...

The Saint at Large Presents the US Debut of Roisin Murphy
Friday, October 24 2008
Mansion, New York NY
That venue is great. I'm not familiar with this music enough to pay $40-$50 bucks for this concert, but maybe someone else is..and will. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

Cover Song (Bryan Ferry)
"Slave To Love"
http://www.gucci.com/us/video/gbg-pour-homme-bts/
enjoy
"Tell her i´ll be waiting
In the usual place
With the tired and weary
There´s no escape
To need a woman
You´ve got to know
How the strong get weak
And the rich get poor
You´re running with me
Don´t touch the ground
We´re restless hearted
Not the chained and bound
The sky is burning
A sea of flame
Though your world is changing
I will be the same
The storm is breaking
Or so it seems
We´re too young to reason
Too grown up to dream
Now spring is turning
Your face to mine
I can hear your laughter
I can see your smile
No I can´t escape
I´m a slave to love" _________________ "Here it is...there is no way to make it better " |

a completely new set is expected for the next european gigs. people gossip about drum'n'bass, don't know if it's a joke!
slave to love should be the next single... it should've been released one month ago, but due to EMI's crisis, it's being postponed week by week.
anyway a few days ago roisin had her first proper gig in the US and it sold out. more dates to come for the north americans, possibly next spring (this girl will never stop touring ). it's curious how roisin and her management aimed almost excluively to the gay audience for her american debut... i guess it's just another market. |
