The new Jamiroquai logo!

I'm so sorry to see the band perform in front of 100 people, dressed in Smoking and Dress... Most of them don't care about the music, and are just there to eat for free...
I'm sad the guys agreed to perform in this kind of €v€nt... I'm sad to see Jay going to Hong Kong for the anniversary of a bar (!!).
And I hope you're not too naive to think that they're playing in Seoul for the £ov€ of music... A one-and-only perfomance!
What a disapointment...
What's next? Mancherster's Sainsbury's 30th birthday?
Pathetic...

Max.

I agree!

Your point is not that stupid, Diamond... But actually I don't mind if Jamiroquai get some extra-cash from sponsors and appearances, as long as they don't sell out their music.

Javis, you don't even have to read the text to understand what I want to say. Everybody here seems happy to see Jamiroquai playing for VIPs...
I hope I'm not the only one to think it's pathetic... It's just for $$$... Just like the Seoul gig... They're not on tour, they don't have any release to promote...
Think about it.

Max.

Dear Max,

It isn't that everyone here is happy that they are playing these gigs, but if 'real fans' have a chance to represent all of us - then more power to them. I can only speak for me and say that I just don't care. They are grown men with families to feed, bills to pay, personal endeavors.

Bring on the new album, new gigs, and new tunes. Who has time to worry about anything else? I know, I don't. I have real life to live. To me, it isn't that serious at all. I am just hoping some of this Audi money can fund them coming over to the States and help them afford to add some brass on tour or on the album. Wink

Part of the music business is indeed business. Who knows the background of these gigs anyway...the money could have went to charity, but if it didn't - who cares?

Hopefully you'll stick around to discuss the new music and new concerts once they happen.

Deesh

Also...

Thanks for expressing your opinion. Great to see people go out on limbs and do that around here. Wink

buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Smile Also totally agree, so well put sister Deesh, hope fall is settling in all nice and crimson colored for you Smile . In regards to Brother Doc's cleverly photoshopped new Jami logo, maybe that could be considered their "inbetween album efforts logo", but I was thinking more of the Buffaloman wearing a INDY/NASCARlike jacket with patches promoting all these companies on it rather that being physically covered/littered with their brand logos. In any case, a nice chuckle, cheers!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

yes, cause they're professional musicians, and that kind of things are usual when they're not touring, and they're invited to events, it's called working.
after all, when we assist to a concert, they don't play their music for free neither. Oh, and the same happens with the albums.
I'd do exactly the same

Don’t blame them, for they know not what they do!
Laughing Just kidding!
Max, ur totally free to not like the vibe in these last JMQ appereances and about their "style" and attitude but i wouldn't define the whole thing "pathetic".
There's nothing abject or wrong in what they do!
Its a system, its the system, its their system!!!
And, as Deesha said, we dont know what 's up behind the scenes, behind these special shows and events so Max, its right u have ur own opinion and idea about it but dont come to a sad conclusion! Wink
