Who's next to leave Jamiroquai?
Well
Some of you will find this question grotesque, but while I was showering few minutes ago, I realised that with every new album, changes appear in Jamiroquai. You know, some people go and new people come.
Derrick McKenzie came after EOPE, Stu left before Synkronized, Toby left after AFO, ...
And, let's face the fact. Unfortunately current members of Jamiroquai won't stay together for next three albums (7 or 8 years), at least that's what I think.
So, because 8 years is too long period, I'm asking you what you think will happen in the period between next, 6th and 7th album. We're talking about a period of, let's say 3 years.
This is hard question, so I want just your opinion. |

I hope that nobody left jamiroquai but becaming some realist i thing that if in the future jamiroquai disappears could be because jay kay have to leave the groupe.... 
but i hope that the moment will never arrive.
The reasons could be some problems with sony....
this is what I think...but not what i want!

Hehe, good poll question mtey!
Well... Sola and Derrick are definetely not gonna leave the band. But I voted for Alex Meadows, nobody knows anything about him, and fans would like to hear him first... but since he is the 'newbie', I voted for him (I know, Matt is the newbie too, but I think he has proved to be a great keyboard player during the last gigs, and he also said in the Jamirotalk interview that has been fully involved with the writing process of the album).

i don't think a 'newbie' is going to leave the band , becouse I think they find it an honor to play in jamiroquai . and the oldies don't have that becouse they are so long with the band, and that could also be bored |

If Derrick leaves the band, I will get wasted! If that happens, it'd be worse than Bush being chosen over Kerry. Almost the end of the world. Okay. Overreacting..  But Derrick is a great bloke!

I always think about the future of the band. The new members, had to made a different sound in every disc, an it's complicated. I don't want to hear a band without Jamiroquai's sound. It's special, but today, many people think Jamiroquai = Jay Kay, which is real partially. Anyway, I want to see Derrick on scene, he's like the rest of the original soul jamiroquai got. Don't you know if understand, but I wouldn't to feel any for Rob Harris or MAtt Johnson, 'cos they dont carry with many band history in his bodies.

Yes i agree with you gonna_dance... Rob and Matt are new players... so, I have no feeligs for them as g_d said... Unfortunately, this is a band in where the members are coming and going, all the time... for that i voted for Alex Meadows: Rob and Matt are new players, true, but they are enjoying his moments at Jamiroquai, well i saw tha same with Nick, and see what happened... Sola and Derrick are sticked at jamiroquai... so... we can't see them out of the band.

Hm. But right now, all members of Jamiroquai are great aren't they? (well, besides Alex since we haven't heard him yet) So I would miss every one of them.
Sure, it would be devastating if Derrick or Sola leave, but you must also consider they're long time in the band and who knows what's cooking there. Maybe they'll have enough someday. But for Derrick, I think he's Jay's best friend isn't he? I see him many times on interviews besides Jay.
Let's ask ourselves what would be the reasons for one to leave? Maybe bad relationship with some person (  ), or family again, or they wouldn't feel appreciated for their work (like Stu), ... And who would suit to these reasons?
Derrick has little family, Is Sola appreciated enough?, is Alex good enough (that is speculation again)?
I still haven't voted because I'm still thinking and reading your posts.
Oh, one more thing. This is not question who you want to leave but who do you think will leave |

This is an anguished question!!!! Well i hope no one will leave the Jamiroquai group....  i remember when Stu left it: i was soooo sad and at first i could not understand his reasons.....BTW i think that when some member decides to go away, there's always something wrong & bad in the air...

I dreamed that Jay Kay leaved the band and i didn't know,so i went to a jamiroquai concert and suddenly a boy started to sing AAAARRRRGGGG! i didn't know what to do,to scream,to cry,to kill somewho... 
It was really strange coz the new singer wes speaking in spanish and i asked him :WHERE IS JAY??????? 
and he answered:  donno,i don't know him,haha he left the band...and now i'm the new singer
PPPPFFFFFF! what a night!

i know iknow (sorry for be offtopic) but he was singing a style completly different,and me telling him "eeerr.....yeah...pppfff....i like very much what you're singing but...you know...it isn't Jamiroquai! i need Mr. Kay!!!!!!!!!"

Hello there,
The important thing is that if Jay wants to go for a new carrer, a soloist, he can still be named as Jamiroquai! (he is the only signed to Sony), that is of course if he keeps on Sony -that I dont think so-, but I can't see Jamiroquai as a one man name. It has to be a band.
