Official Promo Posters
Hi Everybody,

I'm not sure if this is the correct spot for this question but I could not find one better.

Does anybody know or have a resource that documents all of the "Official" record label Promotional Posters for each album release?

Mainly the posters that would have been for the UK or U.S.?

Sometimes a poster can be confusing b/c it will look like a promo poster as it will have formats printed on it such as LP/CD etc. but they are not official posters. They are manufactured by poster companies.

Thanks

G'day Nesta. Um unfortunately I don't think there is any resource which can distinguish between promo and commercially produced posters.

In theory posters are real collector's items, as usually only a very small batch are produced. If you're on the lookout for some genuine promo posters, have a look at eil.com. They have a few Australian tour posters that were only produced in groups of 150 each. They're pretty nice, but not cheap.

Im curious, does anyone have the poster of Jay on stage during the TWM era? It's all over ebay, but the picture quality looks really bad.

Yes I! Thanks for the response. Well it is easy to tell the difference most of the time if you can see the poster in person. But with buying on line it would be nice to have a place to refer to for official posters. Most promo posters (but not all) will have record label info, year sometimes "for promotion use only" but there are a lot of Jamiroquai posters that were made to look like official "real" promotional posters. I have a pretty decent collection of Jamiroqaui promo posters but was curios if anybody had a researched list with photos or descriptions. I know there are posters for each country, some singles have their own official promo poster. There are some with just the album covers and some with info such as release date. It would be a perfect addition the David's site.
Anyways, If anybody has info I would really appreciate it. Irie Ities.
