The King Of Pop Has Passed Away?!?
buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Sad Earlier today, Michael Jackson some rushed to LA hospital after suffering cardiac arrest in his home Sad . Some reports said he wasn't breathing when he was found and others say they administered CPR on him while on route to the hospital. TMZ.COM at 5:20 pm EST reports that Michael Jackson died at the hospital, due to the cardiac arrest. Still, it hasn't been confirmed by the major American media outlets yet, they still maintain that he is in 'serious condition' at the hospital with his father and mother. Will update this thread when I see an official confirmation. Cheers!

*UPDATE* LA Times is reporting he's in a coma & Sky News have confirmed that Michael Jackson has passed away.

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

buffaloman_R Hello again, buffaloman_R

Sad Yeah, I know, the last hour of media coverage has been INSANE, probably because of the "addictive reliablility" of the internet Sad . But in an update, it is now confirmed by all the major media outlets in the States that MJ indeed died from complications of his cardiac arrest. Here are the links and there is a press conference planned at the hospital later on today :

FOX NEWS: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,529103,00.html

REUTERS: http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSTRE55O6AK20090625

SKY NEWS: http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Showbiz-News/Michael-Jackson-Dies-Of-Heart-Attack-After-Being-Rushed-To-UCLA-Hospital-In-Los-Angeles/Article/200906415319936?lpos=Showbiz_News_Carousel_Region_0&lid=ARTICLE_15319936_Michael_Jackson_Dies_Of_Heart_Attack_After_Being_Rushed_To_UCLA_Hospital_In_Los_Angeles

BBC NEWS: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/8119993.stm

It really is a shame he passed at the time he did, both him and actress Farrah Fawcett on the same day......creepy. I think I speak for every fan when I send my condolences to the Jackson family and to his former wife Debbie Rowe and Michael's 3 children. RIP Michael.....

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

R.I.P.

Sad

I wouldn't call myself a MJ fan. But 'Off The Wall' is an album I listen to very much. 'Thriller' is part of my childhood. Many songs off that album takes me back to the early 80's with sweet memories of times lost but not forgotten. There were also some wicked songs from The Jackson Five and The Jacksons eras I'll always be thankful for. The stuff from 87 and onward I don't care for at all.

When I think of Michael Jackson I'll always picture myself the little boy with an afro or the Thriller MJ. It's such a shame he turned into a white weirdo with alien facial features. But he was a victim of the showbiz and never had a childhood. No wonder he turned into Peter Pan.

Nobody really knows what went on at Neverland with those kids. But considering the lack of childhood and the fact that MJ most likely was a boy in a grown mans body I'm willing to give him the benefit of a doubt. It's plausible that he just acted out his inner child being with them. Enjoying things he never had the chance to do when he was a child. Maybe he did inappropriate things, maybe not. Chances are greedy parents saw the opportunity to gain money from the gullible man-child. Some say the fact that he settled off court paying 20 million is proof that he was guilty. But perhaps he just couldn't handle the pressure and took the easy way out. How would anyone handle being wrongly accused of such an disgusting act? Wouldn't we just put an end to it? If money was no object wouldn't we pay to make it stop? Imagine the horror of actually being convicted for something you hadn't done. I'd definitely pay to get out of such a nightmare... even if I was innocent.

We will most likely never know the real truth. So let's just remember him for his music and his talent as an entertainer.

MJ was nevertheless a classic case of showbiz/media victim. He was chewn, spat out and pissed on. His suffering is over now.
