2. Five years working on the new album?
I don't think so. They haven't been working since 5 years now on the album. They started working not so very long ago... before that they were busy with touring, promotional events, they released High Times in 2006, for which they recorded two new songs, some bandmembers had other musicial projects, and Jay did a little break. So when did they start working on the album then? I don't really know but maybe 2007/2008? With interruptions inbetween...
In the end, for me personally it is good that it takes some time, because I couldn't enjoy any gigs in front row in the next time anyways, with my pregnant belly.  But I know that this is a bit of selfish thinking. Of course I'd love to hear the new stuff as soon as possible, like you all.
You can only be disappointed if your expectiations are too high.
I decided to have no expectations at all. I am awaiting patiently what comes next, whenever it might be, and focus more on my private live which has priority anyways. And I have trust in Jay and the boys, that they are doing their best and put their passion and effort into the new album.

Ya know I'm excited for the new album, but I know that it takes a long time to produce. And I saw somewhere that some fans are going to riot if they don't hear anything soon (i know who you are) silly . and seen a few complaints on here. Its a bit annoying to read post after post " Im waiting" over and over again. I thought that after Mouse's post it would slow down or stop until release. I have a feeling that when the album is released , that people are going to complain that how the album don't sound like any of the early releases (bi*tch and moan) too many horns , not enough horns etc ,etc.
Im gonna love anything these guys make, but I'm patient and I see that they are "patient" with developing the album. They want it to be good, not a rush project just to satisfy fans, or a label.
Guys relax, they will let us know.
Stop moaning guys or Jay is gonna get hardcore on y'all.

Well, the same things and nearly the same words to say...
I believe that is better "don't wait". I mean, we have a lot of things to do and enjoy, and maybe the bandmembers have the same too.
Artistic process (imagine, create, arrange and correct until perfection) is a thing that some people enjoy in calm way, doing only when they're inspired, taking a long time for all. Is like enjoy with the expectance of something that you'll do soon, but it hasn't already started. Is much better when art is made in that way, 'cause has the sincere pleasure from the artist/s who made it.
And yes, sometimes is annoying, but what can we do? Nothing, so we can "forget" this for a while, going on with ourselves, and one day in the future we'll have a surprise.
Only hope a close future, maybe in Christmas?

And let's be honest, people...
Do you really think JK (I mean JK) is going to speed up things just because Fans could be waiting? 
I don't know who could be thinking even in a riot (if that what was said) but that sound more like Trash metal fans to me (no ofense). I mean... It's crazy thinking like that.
But let's sum up like this;
Riot   
I highly doubt an album is gonna come out for December, really...
And if it gets to be launched by that date, well... That's gonna be a great surprise!
But seriously, I don' think so. |
