Jamiroquai mentioned on jay leno
any one see tonights show? (Sept 2) I wasn't even paying too much attention to the T.V. when Jay was chatting w/ Ellen DeGeneres and I think they were talking about mispronouncing peoples name and all of a sudden jay says he kept on messing up jamiroquai's name (maybe they were on the show before?) and he mentioned jay kay too...I just thought was cool...any jamiroquai name dropping i think is beneficial..  |

i think i read on funkin.com that Jay was supposed to appear on Jay Leno but bcoz it was booked in just after 9/11, the show wasnt even on, so the interview was cancelled. |

Yeah. I saw that on Jay Leno. My mom had taped the show for no apparent reason and then discovered the mention and told me about it. It's cool.

I don't watch it a lot, but every now and then I catch the show...I did not see the show with the Jamiroquai reference. FYI, Cheeba Lover Jay Leno is not a contest, but a talk show host who was supposed to have Jamiroquai on the show, but it was cancelled in wake of the Sept 11th attack on the WTC. Everything was cancelled after that. I wonder if he is going to get to go on the show sometime soon...hope hope hope! |

I saw that show too! I was pretty psyched that they were mentioned. I also like Ellen Degeneres' talk show a lot. She's pretty hip. I e-mailed her last week and asked if maybe she could get Jamiroquai on the show for their new release coming up. So hopefully she'll read that e-mail soon 
Hey, I just had an idea! Why don't we all e-mail our favorite talk shows to get Jami on them for their new release-since Sony sucks so bad promoting.(well, at least in the U.S.) Idon't know, just a thought.

he was acually supposed to appear september 12th, 2001 on leno but because of 9/11 he didnt appear they cancelled leno for like a week. he has been on leno 2 times. once for a virtual insanity performance and another for canned heat. on the canned heat performace afterwards he interview with jay leno and jay kay(using full names cos it gets confusing) gave him a car magazine. and they said next time they were on they would talk more cars. |

beena that's a really good idea! Ellen is obviously a fan..I totally could see her dancing to them or her inviting them on the show. Cheeba, again the context was that they did not know how to pronounce "jamiroquai," I guess he was referring to when they were suppose to be on. |
