Last night's gig at the Soul Cellar in Southampton was brilliant Smile.

Have only seen BNH once before - B Live 2005 - I believe Nicole Russo was singing lead then? 18,000 people filled Clapham...last night's gig was in front of around 300 - wonderful, can't beat the vibe of intimate gigs.

Surprised to arrive at the venue and find no queue - oh if only this happened with the Jamily?! Went for a bite to eat. Ate dinner, paid a visit to the ladies - and lo and behold spotted some familiar faces seated on the 2nd floor of the Italian restaurant...(or rather spotted Simon's hair!).

Went back to venue - doors open but stage area closed off until 9. Sipped copious amounts of lemonade and willed the clock hands to turn...why does time pass so slowly when you want it to speed?

Wandered back to Andy's car to deposit some items (and kill time) - by this stage the upper floor area had opened and filled with people...BUT no-one by the stage - all standing at the sides of the room. So it was a pleasant wander to the front of the stage to take front row position - what an elegant approach to a gig? No running or dashing?

BNH came onstage around 10.15 and thereon we entered funk heaven.

N'Dea Davenport was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! That woman has the purest, funkiest vibe imaginably and the voice of a...errr...what sort of voice should a funky soul sister have? Surely it's not an angel? She was wonderful with the biggest brightest smile imaginable.

Andrew Levy? Just one word to sum up that man. Cool.

Simon Bartholomew? Well...I sure would like to analyse him - he was great! I imagine slightly eccentric? Slightly scatty? But with funk-filled veins. Smile.

Highlight of the night for me was "Sometimes", although "You are my Universe" followed a close second. Classic BNH tunes that had the whole room pumping.

Brilliant night - glad to be back in the "zone" again Smile

Dedication to N'Dea Davenport - "I love your Smile" Shanice. You were amazing!

Very good pictures Rasskers and corona rules... Best import from Mexico...other than the beautiful Greta Gonzales!

Did you have dinner with the Heavies??? Or are you referring to my evening? I just saw them at a table and tried to walk in a cool fashion rather than look a total plonker!

I have some videos too...however you have to view them with your head tilted on the side! (may have slightly mastered photography..but videoing has yet to be conquered).

Rock on Rasskinglottooooooooo (ha..did you win it?)
