Hello,
Man oh man, this is a boon for fans whom haven't heard this...yet futureRadioWaves is SURE to get in trouble for 'blindly uploading' this unreleased material on YouTube. I mean, all those newbies can FINALLY cut down the 'post griping' and just FINALLY listen to the TP, one at a time, OR EVEN RIP the videos off Youtube...for the time being. But really, John, if you uploaded this stuff OR know this user on Youtube whom uploaded this stuff, you OR them should really take it down before those RIAA gestapo catch whim of this and threaten those in question with lawsuits & fines. Just looking out for everyone, not trying to harass or sound like a 'hardass', please also delete the link to Youtube to the TP, if you could too please. Thanks!
Sincerely,

Hello JamiroFan,
My only goal is to share this news with the jamily people: almost nine years later we could at last listen to the original version of a funk odyssey. Yet, if this link would be a problem, I prefer delete it, but you can always listen to those "ghost tracks" on youtube...
I don't know who is RadioWaves but he did a good job! We can see the influence of a record compagny on an Artist.
By the way, I love the end of you give me something (ah, these strings and bass !) and the original version of picture of my life (brass and flute are so sweet)
peace to all. _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from" |

I think if the gestapo thinks it should be not leaked, they will just remove it without any uproar as they did with many kinds of leakings...
But i will try to listen to it later, now i know there were brasses flutes and more arrangements than on the official album, so it makes me wonder about a thing... Was the choice of removing the entire brass section from the band, a label driven move? Or Was it done by jay himself? But it shows me the removal of the brasses were label influenced... Wich was hard blow in the band.
Greetings from brazil. _________________ At the speed of cheeba, you and I go deeper... |

Perhaps Rick Pope, the co-producer of A Funk Odyssey, is the key of the differences between alternates version? Someone knows if Rick Pope was introduced by Sony or Jay Kay himself? _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from" |
