“No, Jay was never involved. I randomly met the piano player Matt Johnson and we exchanged notes on our influences musically - this was when I was about 17. He was really into the same era of music as me. So through a love of influences we got together and started writing and then we got Rob, the guitarist from Jamiroquai. I love Jamiroquai - they’re one of my favourite bands ever so it was perfect to work with them.”
