anyway..i think it´s great that we can all discuss the new song. i want that everybody feels free to join and tell their opinion without having the feeling other users think their opionin is " wrong" or " not good".

It's weird because, talking about Jamiroquai, we're used to be in awe when we listen to a really good tune of them. The true good tunes never had to grow on us, it was all about listening it once, and being like "oh damn  " And then you will just listen to it over and over and over, until you get addicted.
But that's not the case with this song, for me it is just an... ordinary song, pretty but confused lyrics, with a reasonably well crafted melody. Light years away (in a good sense) from the music we listen today in the radio today. But still, is not up to par with the Jamiroquai level of quality that we know so well.

I think is about 50-50 ... When I heard cosmic girl I started to hear jamiroquai. and now i love aaaaall the songs even stop don't panic xD
but i think that there's some songs that you like inmeaditly but is strange because i remember that i didn't like destitute illusions.. and funktion! (o my god) and main vein I didn't like black capricorn day and planet home (and many others good songs) but now i love those tunes... all the live versions of planet home.. are amazing and the album song is very good very danceable!
I really think that everything is about evolution... First i loved the music like cosmic girl (disco) then i started to like (jazzy tunes) then electro tunes and then funky sounds... of course i love drifting along too! I like all the albums, all the eras! but I miss the brass section and dj d-zire (RIP)
and it's funny but i think that virtual insanity is boring!!! hahaha alright is great but i still prefering starchild.. or space cowboy or canned heat.. three of my favourites tunes...
well.. about rock dust light star I give a 4 from a max of 10 points xD
and virtual 6/10 hahaha

When I think of my favourite songs, there definately is a healthy mix of ones that grew on me and ones I instantly liked. It's also pretty hard to judge the quality of songs when they aren't soundboard recrdings.
Having said that, I do have concerns about the direction Jamiroquai is going in. I think that Jay will need to have some strong backing vocals in his live lineup, as his voice simply isn't in a good a condition as it was 10 years ago.
Whatever the genres Jamiroquai will fuse into their music, I really hope they move back to basing their songs on a strong bass guitar/ drums relationship. This is what was severly lacking in the previous two albums, and one of the keys to the success of the first three.
When it comes down to it, I'm not too fussed about the upcoming album, I just hope they forge a really tight live set to tour with.

simply like what they are doing, love their music and that's all for me  others, like - don't like title of the music, like the other eras and etc. these not for me, that's my feeling
