All things Goodbye To My Dancer
Put all your info, links, comments and opinions about Goodbye To My Dancer here!
At this stage, not too much is known of this one, except that it was on the original setlist for the Debut Club gig (24th June, London) and may have been soundchecked before the Hard Rock Calling concert at Hyde Park (26th June, London).

I'm just asking a question about the meaning of the title : Goodbye To My Dancer, is it a kind of tribute for Michael Jackson? _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from" |

it sounds to me like a love song. rock dust star light seems like one and maybe we are running into a love album similar to synkronized? hopefully its a good mix. i cant see jay doing a love album again similar to 1999 |

Hello, I'm not an English speaker but I'll try to have a good relationship between us
I'm from Argentina, I think that the title of this one sounds like Jazz... Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm not
Thank you! |

I want this recording now... I think this "good by to my dancer" song is in some way related or linked to "rock dust light star" I dont know why they would put two new songs right next to each other on a set list, (though thts just a feeling) on the other side you can hear Jay saying "we can only play one song"... and "you will see it makes sense when you hear the album" so ther ehas to be a trick to it in some way... ok now.. stop recording! Hello again,
From what I have been able to gather, from some engrossing chats with Rob Harris @ Facebook, this new song is apparently an instrumental. He noted that when they practiced this new song during soundcheck, JK wasn't there for it, at least when they went 'through the motions' during DEBUT, so, at least, it can be considered a instrumental for the time being. That's all I have to add for right now, still hoping someone will upload a live video of the soundchecks from these gigs, till then, Cheers!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

Haha, maybe it's an instrumental and it's called Goodbye To My Dancer because Jay is known for his crazy dances and...he is the vocalist! Plus I don't recall having an instrumental on an album since Synkronized (if you count Destitute Illusions and the two promos Get Funky and Wolf in Sheep's Clothing). _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. But hmm, there are also the few instrumentals from Dynamite! (But ok, not released).
I would be pleased if there is (or are) some instrumental tunes ... But the only thing WE have to do is still wait :S... If you want or don´t want ! _________________

there are always 'instrumentals' from every album, whether they are released or unreleased as it's part of the recording process.
this album though has apparently been recorded 'live'. _________________
