hi,folks new here but long time jamiroquai fan!!!
hi i am new here but i am following jay kay's music ever since the very beginning!
it was a time when the factoryproduced hits were on the radio,the 80's and early 90's,i liked rick astley from that time just because he had a very soulfull voice but in the music was nothing,so i listened to jazz funk from the 80's george benson,shakatak,quincy jone's productions,also started listening to jazz,harry conninck jr was one who started me off but thenn came that sound!
what was that??
funk,soul,it was something but i couldn't place it but all i knew was that i liked it,it was the first time i heard something contemporary that really had it all!soulfull vocals,great funky grooves,jazzy input,what else did i need??
so i was hoocked from the very first day in the early90's.
i listen a lot to other music,blues for one,jazz also,i mean real classic blue note,verve kinda jazz,also some 70's jazzfunk from witch i hear a lot of jay kay's sound in so thus the name nicojazzfunk.listen to a lot of latin as well,bossa nova,mambo etc,jipsy jazz,big bands sinatra,sammy davis jr...
i saw him in tienen belgium for the second time i would have seen him3times but the first time he didn't show up at a festival in oostende,but james brown came later that evening so i got my share of funk 
so i live in belgium,am 40now and again hooked from the very first single and new here so i hope to have lot's of interesting musical discussions

incredible how u meet people huh??
I got to know another jamiroquai fan from austria just because a member from her met her at a gig and heard she was from austria like me!
it´s amazing how people are connecting over music here..i think its so beautiful.

Yeah, I am in complete shock! Especially because that town is like the most unfunkiest place ever. It's extremely hiphop (convertibles driving around town with loud hiphop, girls dressing like Britney Spears etc.) so I left it as soon as I could and only go back for short visits to my parents.
But apparently there is still hope for that lil corner of the earth |
