First Argentinian to listen to the full song I guess...
this I posted some mins ago in funkin.
First impressions:
Great Track! This single is gonna hit hard on the charts I can tell you that!!! Thats how I take it at least, its an intense song and keeps your head nodding. This is on purpose built for the dancefloors, to play loud on your car stereo windows down (why not speeding a bit ) and mainly, for radios to play it!! Cant wait to hear more new stuff and ge tthe album!!
******************
For jamirotalkers that are upset with the song and going deeper into the review of the song. This is a first cd single after 5 years and I know many dont like this sound, but this is todays sound and all bands have to have a commercial single to promote their album. Im sure whoever si now dissapointed will be sattisfied when the album comes out. This is a great track and Im sure there will better tracks, based on my experience...
what I mean is... (at least to me)
None of the 1st album´s´s singles is better than "Whatever it is I just cant stop"
None of the 2nd album´s singles is better than "The kids" or "Scam"
None of the 3rd album´s singles is better than "you are my love" or "funktion" (even "Sliding")
None of the 4th album´s singles is better than "Where do we go from here"
None of the 5th album´s sinlges was better than "Mein Vein" or "Picture of my life"
None of the 6th Album´s single was better than "Time Wont Wait" or "Tallulah"
But they all where great singles for the time in which they where released
So lets be patient and understand this as a Jamiroquai single
GREAT SONG!
YEAHHH GONNA MAKE IT BETTER... _________________

I have to say that I'm quite disappointed...
the chorus is good, but the rest... have the impression it doesn't fit together..
will have to wait for the album _________________ All of my vision were untrue Till I had a vision of YOU |

I have to say I love the bassline.
is a very interesting song, though is too short (3.35 minutes only), the intro is great but the chorus. well, remembers me to stop dont panic or songs like that one. |

This track is not bad at all, but is not something lovable either. People may be over enthusiastic about it. The song starts interestingly well, feels like it will deliver something better as it progresses, but then it ends lukewarm... _________________ At the speed of cheeba, you and I go deeper... |

Im a Acid Jazz fan but this track is jolly good! Reeaallyy think that Jamiroquai has a potential number 1 for the first time... it's very commercial, like the modern sounds.. but i do hope that this is the only commercial song though! |

I love it! So funky! Paul sounds amazing on the bass on this track!
If we think that the snippet we had last week is the end portion of the song, does anyone else notice slight differences between the ending of the full version we have now and that snippet.
Like for example on the snippet, when it slows and builds up again, Jay sings like a 'woah ooh woah woah...' before it kicks back in. And also towards the very end on the snippet, Jay sings fairly low, 'Feelin' the pressure baby...' just before the song ends.
Anyone else notice? |
Yes I notice that at around 2:56-2:59 of the track, its seems to be missing Jay's "woah ooh woah woaha yeah", then it goes into the chorus. like not on the 40sec teaser. _________________

I think the intention clearly with this track is simply to get back into airplay, get back into the clubs and to the masses, kinda pave the way for the new album. It's a pretty borderline track as some of you already expressed it's got nothing to do to what already been said about the album and what hardcore fans are expecting from them but with this track they just proved again how versatile they are, they can match the current trends but stay the same live band with an iconic sound that they have always been. They not gonna shoot a video for it, the record company is staying on the safe side not taking any risks but to come out with a potential "hit" as they hasn't come out with anything new for 4 years and they're new to Universal too. |

Universal says the first single is gonna be Blue Skies in November - this track is solely for the radios and DJs. That's why I suppose no video will be shoot for this. |
