Yeah, looks like Hyde Park...
The picture's rather fine and would be OK for a live album.
But I did expect more for a studio album, something more "iconic" (yeah, buffalo man involved ! ) |
Well, he did so in Hyde Park but this is definitely not Hyde Park, as he had those black stripe under his eyes that night (like the COTE video)... |

Maybe the photos at Hyde Park were not as good as they thought, so they choose a variation. It could be mistaken for a live album, but whatever.
Positive: The 'live' feel to it. The fact that it's taken at night.
Negative: That *cough* fake *cough* floor.
Is not that bad. Better than Dynamite. |

Right, but it can easily be the Hyde Park crowd and another picture of Jay "stuck" in front. It could even be a studio shoot actually... |

Taking a pic during the day and photoshoping it to make it look like a night shot is not much trouble...
The more I look at it, the more it all looks fake to me :
- The sky
- The light around Jay (this one's pretty obvious)
- The fact that it's another pic of Jay stuck on a crowd shot (look at his legs)
- Except for the totally genuine and natural fluorescent floor, of course... That's totally real
Any people with better photoshop skills think the same ? |

That goes with the message Jay had on the album earlier "more live sound...."
Hope the "all will make sense" happens when it's released |

I don't agree with you. Dynamite album cover had much more production, and better. |

surely, that's why it had more production than this one lol
I don't know, I think they had much more better pictures of Jay to put in the album cover. |

i loved the darkness on the dynamite artwork
the whole booklet was dark-white and all trough darkness style
in part, that's why i loved dynamite
i like it all the songs and the artwork fits it well to me _________________ Only a fool can walk away from me this time

So now the question is :where was it?? ain't it in Carhaix?
It seems weird to me when Jay on Hyde Park said he would waved to the crowd for the needs of the album cover, finally it was true...
|
you were right it's Carhaix:
Jamiroquai.com
The cover artwork for Rock Dust Light Star can now be revealed in it's full glory! Released worldwide on November 1st, this cover was shot at the Jamiroquai gig in Carhaix, France by Mitch Jenkins. _________________ All of my vision were untrue Till I had a vision of YOU |
