am I the only one who feel sorry 4 them for this story of the album leaked? and is not a question of having it or not, I'm one of thoose that will buy the album anyway, probably also the deluxe and the japanise version but...camon, on youtube? allover? that's sad!
there are so many people out there that will not buy it 'cause it's available and I know that if it's released on Nov.1st on Nov.2nd you can find it on Emule, but this way is really nasty to me. is unrespectfull, it's ruining the moment of glory they will live and the happiness of seeing the album going out....anyway maybe it's just me. _________________ No man is an Island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main and any man's death diminishes me, because

I feel the same Vere, but I guess that's the business today. Probably every album that comes out is available on the net for illegal download.
All we can do as fans is, not to shout it out loud, and show some respect by not putting links to the downloads.
My personal support is, to buy several releases and maybe some more as presents for friends. |

Albums will leak, before release or shortly after. It is inevitable. It's sad. But we knew it would happen, so did Universal and so did the band.
I agree with Meike... "All we can do as fans is, not to shout it out loud, and show some respect by not putting links to the downloads."
Whether we download it or not is quite irrelevant because we'd do it for a different reason than the average downloader. If we do it it's because we can't wait until we can buy it in the record shop (which we will) or until our already preordered CD arrives in the mailbox. We're like little children feeling, weighing, shaking and smelling every parcel before Christmas.
The average downloader on the other hand, the random consumer who isn't necessarily a "real fan" would probably happily download the album and not support the band afterwards. And this type of behaviour my dear friends is a majority. We may be thousands, but there are millions who think differently.
That's why it is extremely important that we do no condone distribution of illegal downloads like this. Why we must continue to support the band as long as they keep making us happy with the music they're making.

And my 2 €¢;
The music industry have failed to embrace technology like the movies have with High Definition and 3D where in order to get the undiluted full quality it would require a very long download and lots of disc space and it's a pain to rip in the first place - so lots of people buy HD discs, tickets and services rather than bother pirating. Some will always buy pirates, some will always pirate for free, some will always buy and others just do what they fancy.
CDs are thirty year old technology and anyone in the industry will tell you that getting the music biz to move with the times is like trying to pull a U-turn in an oil tanker; very slow.
If the album is out there (Dynamite leaked too) then the industry need to do something to stop that being possible or attractive - simples.
In the meantime most artists make their real money from touring and merch.
Don't link to the download because it's illegal and will get your forum in trouble and it's not like it's hard to find... that's the problem |

i find it somewhat annoying the peeps are downloading the leak and saying they are excused as long as they bought the album. i dont care if you say you bought the album or not. there is no way to prove it until we see a pic of it in your hand. so lets see how many of you post a pic of yourself with the album booklet later |

What's that got to do with this?
Is not a sacrifice, is something I want to do. I don't know about the rest of you, but a folder with Megabytes is not the same for me. |
Dyego!! Where's your sense of humour? I think you've missed it after so much waiting for a new album...plus, if I don't remember wrong, you said you wouldn't post anymore 'til November 1st. Save yourself a bad moment and wait 'til then.
I downloaded RDLS, I have it in my brand new Ipod Nano and it's FUC$%ING GREAT! As I said before, I'll skip Hurtin', but there are a few "bee's knees" I'll definitely buy it, no doubt, but if I can have it before it's out, why should I miss the chance? I chose not to miss it, and I'll enjoy travelling to work on Monday singing out loud.
@Jarvis: me haces reir mucho en todos tus post! Estamos del mismo lado. No es ningun sacrificio esperar hasta el primero de noviembre. Jay no hace la plata vendiendo discos _________________ Call me up, turn me on, tune me in... |

Well i couldnt resist the temptation!!! i fell into the hands of the leaked album. I am a sinner, according to some of the people here in the forum. Anyway i will buy it, because i am a fan, and i love to have the original, leaked albums are good for anxiety. In the music bussines nowaday bands do their money in gigs not selling their albums.
Talking about the album itself, i think it is amazing!!! i has an old stuff vibe, every song is great, but the outstandings are really amazing. Some of my favourites are smoke and mirrors, all good in the hood, she is a fast persuader, white knuckle ride, and yes hurtin!!. But i beleive that the best song by far is Two completly diferent things. There you will find the 1994 jamiroquai in all its essence.
Great comeback album! Jamirofans, we are in the verge of a great year!! ENJOY!!! _________________ Sounds Kind Of Funky!!
