I want to learn how to play Bass.
Hi Jamily,
I know here are many of you who knows how to play bass. I always wanted to learn but I never had the time, or I was afraid because I dont know anything about music. Anyway, this is something I really want to do, I enjoy very much listening the bass lines on every single tune, no matter the band or the style.
What are your recomendations? Where should I start, is there any good tutorial on internet or something like that? What's the best bass I could buy for learning? (I don't need something spectacular, only something to start with)
Thanks! |

First, make sure you're familiar with guitars, and if you know how to play under scales. _________________ At the speed of cheeba, you and I go deeper... |

Hey, don't be afraid to learn how to play bass. Just study first the basic playing of guitar and you will get into it for sure. As long as you like to learn, there's nothing to be afraid of. Good luck to you! _________________ Bob Morton

Great Javis! bass is an awesome instrument to learn!. First of all you can learn on the internet, but the best way is to have a teacher. Is much better, because he will tell you all the things you must improve. Then what you have to do when you start learning is (besides of doing all the excersises that your teacher will give you) pick a song and practice a loooot!!. is best if it is a song that you love (the first i learned was Cosmic girl!, without all the funky variations that stu did of course). Then if you are looking for a bass to buy, i recomend to start and practice at home, to look for it at mercado libre, there you cand find from the cheapest one to the best one available.
Well i hope this is useful for you. Have a great time learning!!!
I am argentinian so if you need any info on teachers or equipment and where to get it just send me a message. _________________ Sounds Kind Of Funky!!

cool remember, if you're going to buy an instrument, ask a friend musician to try it at the store with you (since you say you never played one)... or you may also find great used instruments too |
