Thanks Funk Fiction.

Alright don´t bash me ...
I think he is corny but as everything in life it´s a matter of taste I guess....
And ... Yes, indeed, senorita is something I can stand. _________________ Away from soliloquies of sadness

Heard it, digested it, loved it. Except for track 11.
Tracks 12 & 13 especially awesome. Never listened to Timberlake, but the remix has a pretty good sound. Wouldn't mind an instrumental version.
Do you DJ frequently? What artists do you use most frequently? And what software do you use for the mixing? |

Thanks for listening HoneyBee and Funky!
I'm glad you liked it Funky. Yeah that Sexyback Remix is so fresh. It's a classic for me. A perfect 10 as far as setting a standard for what a good house track should sound like if you ask me. ;D
I don't DJ frequently (yet). This is actually my very first mix, ever. I don't think I'd pay much attention to artists as much as I'd pay attention to the strength of an individual track at this point, haha.
I used a pair of Technics SL1210s and a Rane Serato mixer. So yeah, I mixed with control vinyls using the music from my computer. Pretty standard way of DJing nowadays. I'd like to get better at mixing without the need for Serato and using my ears only... soon enough! I recorded the session into Logic Pro 9 and bounced it as an mp3.
Hopefully I can find work as a DJ as apparently everyone and their mom is a DJ now, haha! If you guys like, I'll make a new mix with new tracks. Thanks for the feedback. =] _________________ www.funkfiction.com |

Ah, cool, good luck with the DJing. Yeah, just wondered if you gravitated toward certain artists moreso than others, or if the crowds preferred certain artists. But I totally agree with the need to judge tracks individually.
That's pretty hands on mixing, for me at least, haha. Do you know of any good sites/programs that mix tracks together using some sort of algorithm?
Definitely hit us up with another mix. |
