I just received some texts from Peggy saying Jay is a lot more talkative and active than in Brussels. His voice is okay except for some minor problems here and there. And apparently he is jumping up and down as if 'he has powder up his behind'!!!

Glad to hear he's better. I don't know Jay personally but one thing I know is that he's very professional and takes things seriously. _________________ 'White gets two and black gets five...years!' - EONPLE. |

Peggy just texted saying the set list was the same as in Brussels with the difference that the sound was way better! _________________ *Meow* |

Totally agree! That's already what I thought in 2005 after the gig in Lille where he cut his wrist, had to go to hospital for stitches but still made the show the day after in Germany! _________________

Back home, tired but it was oooooh so worth all the trouble.
I dunno what kind of medicine they gave jay...
In the beginning he was, carefull with moving around, but it did not take long and there was the dancing, jumping and twisting and grinning while making small steps...in other words...the jay we love to see onstage.
Got a paper setlist:
rock dus light star
main vain
cosmic girl
smoke and mirrors
you give me something
hurtin
little l
canned heat
deeper underground
space cowboy
love foolosophy
travellin
scam break
all good in the hood
alright
white knuckle ride
Thank to joyce, Rene, Peggy, Lorraine and last but not least...DAVID for a great evening. _________________ May you always feel the wind on your face and the waves on your toes |

awesome gig.
sound was amazing, even front row. not too loud, not messy, almost perfect. some little things went wrong. jay didn't seem happy with that sometimes aswell.
band in top form, enjoying themselves. jay very active, dancing and his voice was good. he sang all the parts, even when the backgroundsingers were singing. he reached the high notes. i've never got the feeling that he's been ill!
highlight: the complete gig! the band sounded really tight, the sound was very warm.
highlights:
- paul turner!
- brass!!
- new version canned heat!!!
- space cowboy!!!!

Really cool gig! I'm still buzzing from it. Jay seemed much livelier than in Bercy (more dancing, smiles, more crowd interaction).
The sound was excellent and the crowd was dancing around as well. I was about 10 rows deep from the front.
The only thing that stopped me from enjoying the show fully was the fact that my wife who was next to me is only 1.5m tall and we were surrounded by tall Dutchies, so she couldn't really see much of the stage. Guess we'll have to make it to the front row next time. |

I am getting such great feedback from this gig that I am really regretting selling my ticket But I made a member of the Jamily happy with it so I'll survive! _________________ *Meow* |

Just read the review of NU.nl
It is not raving, its talking about jay and band playing on "automatic pilot" and the crowd not being happy with the new stuff. They wanted a walk on memory lane!
OK, there was almost no young crowd, "no pr done by jamiroquai"
http://www.nu.nl/muziek/2491935/jamiroquai-automatische-piloot.html
Think he never saw that there was ppl dancing in their seats on 2nd top row.
And memory lane.....they are not 88 doing a tour to get some extra cash to spend in Benidorm. _________________ May you always feel the wind on your face and the waves on your toes |

Well boohoo for Nu.nl!
I really danced my ass off yesterday and had a blast with the new ánd the older songs. So I don't know where the jounalist was standing reviewing this concert. Maybe he should have lifted up his elbow from the bar and mingle in the crow some more
My opinion is that: Yes you could see and hear that Jay was still suffering from his illness, but he tried hard to get the best out of the gig he could do. And helloooo, how would yóu feel after being ill and have to perform? I can only say that I have lots of respect for what the band pulled off last night!
The rest of the band playing on automatic pilot? Well, Jay is the leading man in this band and if he's a bit down, this will be seen through the whole band. He's the one that pulls the rest up and if the "director" is low on energy, he cannot give the right signal to the rest. But as I said, for the state he was in, I really think he did a perfect job!
We had a great night, even though I wasn't in front row for the fist time in 16 years . But from this spot we had a great view on the stage wich was amingly beautifull with great visuals behind the band.
And I was happy to meet Rene and Peggy on the sideline. So we still met some of the Jamily!
I'm definately nót dissapointed about the show, but next time I see them, I hope they're all germ-free so Jay can dance his ass of too! _________________

Hey Wendy,
You could not see, but when he was doing these little dance moves, and faced down...he had this grin on his face.
Unmistakingly....FUN, you know the face of a kid when he does something he is not allowed but doing it anyway...that GRIN.
We indeed missed you, we was looking where is she...and never saw you. _________________ May you always feel the wind on your face and the waves on your toes |

We could see that too, that he was having fun, but I felt he was little bit low on energy.
And I'm sorry we haven't met you guys, but I was not feeling well before the show. So I had no energy to come early and sit in front. I was scared to be out of energy before the show even started.
But here's the proof that I really was there freaky!
