| Welcome Starchildluke! A first gig is indeed very special. I remember going home completely Jamiroquaid and it is only getting 'worse'. |
I'm still reeling from it, and it's been nearly a week! So surreal, for someone to influence you so much over the years and to finally see them live after watching them on TV and Youtube for so long. Incredible feeling. My knees were shaking! |

Welcome to the club Starchildluke!
I know very well the feeling; it's my favourite music since about 1995 or so and only got to see them live for the first time this last year in Amsterdam : D
And indeed Evy, it got me even more hooked |

Ha, my first post here since 2005...
Just my two pence on the gig, a top night had by all. Went with a friend of mine going to his first Jamiroquai gig. We were supposed to go to the Finsbury Park gig which was unfortunately cancelled in 2002 - I promised him that I would get him a ticket to Jamiroquai at some point - and last Friday was the day!
It was my first time seeing Jamiroquai live since the UK tour in 2002 (which I reviewed way back when here - http://www.jamirotalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=63&highlight= doesn't seem like that long ago!
The sound quality at the O2 is always iffy unfortunately but was standing this time round, rather than being in the second to last row at the top tier like the last time I was there! Was great having the mixture of old and new tracks and quite literally feeling the bass on Deeper Underground. Probably one of the best atmospheres at any gig I've been to as well.
Like the 2002 NEC gig, no Virtual Insanity which was a little disappointing (no still haven't seen that live) but at least took my advice on the standing ticket this time around! _________________ Stay fresh, stay funky... |
