It's in a kind of poppy way, but have you ever heard about Djavan ? You should to listen this guy !!!

The "Cannonball's Bossa Nova" album by Cannonball Adderley is a great album too, a mix between jazz and brazilian music, with brazilian standards, and brazilian musicians who give tasty rythms !
