I think that some of the songs are more obvious in meaning (Cannabliss, for instance ), others are more cryptic. Sometimes I hear different meanings each time I listen. But in general, the lyrics are always great and thought-provoking.
Two which never fail to inspire me are Corner of the Earth and Use the Force. The latter is my "go to" song any time I need a burst of confidence and motivation.
Also, the first 2 Jamiroquai songs I ever heard were Space Cowboy and then Cosmic Girl. I always imagine that these songs tell a love story about a cosmic god and goddess. Alright continues this theme ("We'll spend the night together, wake up and live forever")... and eventually, together they create the Starchild. _________________ ~~~"To perchance upon this circumstance is something of a miracle so spiritual, it's verging on the physical."~~~ |

Oh yes, alright and UseTF got really interesting lyrics.
"The force" (universal energy) is now "just something" of my current life, you know, you decide what you have from your life, you got the power to feel anything and to be what you want. That every day is more true.
And respect to Canabliss maybe you're right, is just I love the sensations that cause that song on me... just fly through the sky
Other magnific song is Do You Know Where You Coming From, what do you feel/think about this song? _________________ Got my soul education! |

"Ohhhh... Do You Know..." Another great one - how can I forget? This one is so dreamy and beautiful, lyrically and musically. It's very surreal and 'trippy'... it can have so many meanings.
For me, the "message" I always take away from it is to stay grounded. Know who you are, know what you want, know where you want to go... But remain open to change and new experiences. ("Have you been -- somewhere you never ever been before...")
Also, in songs as beautiful and profound as this one, the music itself speaks to me just as much as the words do. _________________ ~~~"To perchance upon this circumstance is something of a miracle so spiritual, it's verging on the physical."~~~ |
