The problem is that all the pictures available of Jay -and the band- are copyrighted by the original photographers.
There's a whole copyright thing use that people are not realizing. The yellow Smiley face is a trademark, for example. |

That´s true. A lot of the designs there are not allowed, they don' t complain with the rules of the contest if I remember well.

Universal is constanstly giving me the feeling they underrate Jamiroquai.

A lot of designs over at Flickr are automatically disqualified (or at least should be) because they're using copyrighted material.
Another thing is that they should've been very clear with how many entries you can make. I sent one design. Someone sent several. They should've had a maximum of entries allowed. Would also save them some time going through all the designs.
I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow then. Looking forward to see the winning design. There are many really good ones.

It would be pretty offhand to discount or disqualify your entries if you can't submit more than one. 
It doesn't even say!
& if it's Jay choosing, did they have a designated artist during the Sony contract previously?

No, I'm worried if you're disqualified when uploading more than one. I hope not, it doesn't say. |

It looks like the guys are not very involved in most of the desitions commercially speaking. I wonder how is their relationship with Jay and how is the relation of Jay with Universal. Who has the final word and who can really suggest ideas or not.
The latest album from the guys (Radio silence) made me think about it too. They said they started composing while they been touring on Dynamite, and I wonder how could they do that with Jay there and why he is the only one writing songs there. On the RDLS documentary videos they clearly said it was Jay who wrote the songs...
it all makes me think Rob, Sola, Paul etc are only the musicians, nothing else. |

kinda sad to think Jamiroquai is only Jay. Now I wonder since when it's like this. Maybe it was Jay all the time, since the beginning.
Maybe I have been fan of Jaymiroquai instead Jamiroquai... XD |

All of the liner notes seem to give credit to multiple members of the band. I know for certain that Toby Smith was credited with a lion's share of the writing on many of the earlier tracks. |

The main songwriting trio is conformed by Jay, Rob and Matt. It's obvious each member must contribute somehow (SAFP and HF were done by almost everyone).
Jay must be the link to all commercial and promotional stuff.
We really can't say anything about the relationship between all of them. Everything we say is just speculation. |
